Day 1 - Monday. A double-decker bus tour of the city. Petrovskaya Aquatoria Mock-up Theatre

Excursion on the double–decker bus "Hop on - Hop off" with a tour of the historical theater-layout "Petrovskaya Aquatoria" (audio guide).
A Hop-On Hop-Off double-decker bus tour is an ideal way to explore the city on your own terms: the ticket is valid for 24 hours, you do not depend on anyone and you can "jump out" of the bus at any stop you like, and after plenty of exercise, get on the next bus and continue your journey.
And in the museum of the historical mock-up theater "Petrovsky Aquatoria" depicting St. Petersburg at the beginning of the XVIII century, you can watch the movement of 130 ships made according to historical models, watch fist fights during Maslenitsa and dances of the nobility at imperial receptions in Peterhof.

Day 2 - Tuesday. Hermitage. Make a Wish Walking tour

Day 3 - Wednesday. Peterhof

The most brilliant of the suburbs of St. Petersburg.
The originality of this ensemble is unique. Outstanding monuments of architecture, sculpture, painting, and landscape art are concentrated here. The oldest royal residence near St. Petersburg, known worldwide as the "Kingdom of Fountains", was built over two centuries by the efforts of many outstanding Russian and European architects.
During the tour of the Lower Park (until October 14) You will get acquainted with the history of the creation of this grandiose park complex, walk along the shady alleys, listen to the music of fountains. Be sure to make a wish and throw a coin for good luck into the firecracker fountain with ducks.
And even in winter, when the park stalls and flower beds are covered with snow, water cannons are inactive, and the sculpture of the Grand Cascade is carefully sheltered from frost, Peterhof offers guests to explore the palaces of the former royal residence, the main of which is the Grand Palace (after October 14).
Almost completely destroyed during the Great Patriotic War, the palace was restored in the post-war decades, and today its interiors show visitors the Oak Staircase and the Oak Study of Peter with carved panels of the early 17th century, the suite of state rooms of architect Rastrelli, the Chinese offices of Vallen-Delamot, the Dining Room, Throne and Chesma halls of Felten.

The museum features authentic life—size exhibits - antique steam locomotives of various types and real wagons of the last century.
As part of the visit, your child will be able to try himself as a machinist in a special simulator (session at 12:00) and see a real steam locomotive in the section.

The territory of the aquarium is divided into seven climatic zones, representing the reservoirs of the North-West of Russia, the Amazon basin, the tidal zone, the coral reef zone and the main marine aquarium with a 35-meter transparent tunnel laid through it.

The Museum of Soviet slot machines – it is unknown who else in this museum will be more interesting: parents or children! No wonder it is called a "time machine" that takes adults back to childhood, and allows children of any age to see the past. To get into the "Sea battle", to leave the bits in the "Towns", to hunt on a "Safari".
You can play alone or in company. If you still have Soviet coins of 15 kopecks, take them with you. And if not, then do not worry, they are attached to the entrance ticket.

The tour was well-organized, and the preloaded transit card included in the package was incredibly useful—such a great idea! However, unfortunately, in my case, there was no mention of it anywhere—not on the envelope with the vouchers, nor in the printed tour program. It also wasn’t brought up in my communication with the manager. As a result, we had to figure out on our own what the card was and how to use it. We only realized later that it already had money loaded onto it—when we happened to use it. Luckily, we traveled around the city a lot, so the balance on the card was put to good use. That being said, to be fair, I should note that other tour participants mentioned they did receive this information on their envelope and that their manager informed them about it when sending the tour details.
