Day 1 - Vyborg walking tour. "Pretzel Fest"
Arrival in Saint Petersburg.
09:30 Meeting with the guide at the monument to Peter the Great at the Moscow railway Station, St. Petersburg. The sign "Pretzel Fest".
Transfer to Vyborg. Highway tour. Transfer to the hotel, check-in, things in the hotel's luggage room.
11:30 Walking tour of the center of Vyborg — our guide will tell you about the history of the city, its legends and secrets. You will see the Market Square, the Peter and Paul Cathedral, the Transfiguration Cathedral, the Panzerlaks bastion, and the Town Hall Tower.
The guide will take you to the Castle Island, where the medieval knightly Vyborg Castle is located, on the territory of which all the main events will take place.
From 13:30 participation in the festival "Pretzel Fest". Several interactive platforms for themed station games will be located in the historical part of the city and Vyborg Castle.
The festival also includes the participation of local establishments that will offer various activities that emphasize the hospitality of Vyborg.
The interactive program includes games, fairs, and workshops that take place at several themed venues.
Activities with pretzel throwing, archery, soft sword tournaments and medieval-style photo zones will unfold in the Old Town, Vyborg Castle, Burgher's Manor, Hanseatic Court, Craft Town, Medieval Tavern and many other locations.
Participants will have an exciting gastronomic journey through medieval Vyborg with a tasting of pretzels prepared according to traditional recipes.
Master classes in ancient dances and contests with fun prizes will be organized.
The festival is part of the Vyborg Pretzel tourist route, which introduces guests to the traditions of local baking.
Using a special map, you can take a walk around the city, try a variety of pretzels — from traditional to original — and choose your favorites. You will be able to participate in the game from 11:00 to 17:00.

Day 2 - A master class on baking Vyborg pretzel. Kiiskil Manor Tour

You will learn about its history, recipes and participate in the manufacturing process yourself.
We will try two authentic recipes: the medieval one according to the recipe of the townspeople Marin (rye without yeast) and the Viperi pretzel baked on straw (fluffy, yeast).
12:00 Free time.
14:00 Lunch at a cafe for an additional fee (950 rubles).
15:00 Transfer to the village of Podberezye to explore the ancient manor house of the Vyborg district.
16:00 Excursion to the Kiiskil estate, owned by the Kron family and founded in 1562.
The main building was built in 1816. You will have a unique opportunity to visit the estate, which is still undergoing the process of restoration and restoration, and to touch the history of one of the oldest estates in the Leningrad region.
The history of the estate is closely connected with the history of Russian brewing. Abraham Kron, the first Russian factory brewer, is the father of Leopold Kron— one of the owners of the estate.
Therefore, at the end of the tour you will have a tasting of manor beer (light kelsh, pale ale, stout, cherry).
Some of the produced varieties are aged in the old granite cellar of the estate, where you will visit — in particular, it is there that the Russian imperial stout matures, one of the most dense and saturated varieties of dark beer, bottled in champagne bottles.
18:00 Return to St. Petersburg at approximately 21:00 at Moskovsky railway station.

I really enjoyed the tour, even despite the snowfall. The itinerary was packed with activities and experiences - so much so that by the second day we were feeling pleasantly tired. The lunches were excellent, and we were glad we chose to include them. The organization was outstanding, and our guide, Nelli, was wonderful. She shared a wealth of interesting information and presented it in a way that kept everyone engaged throughout the trip. The Druzhba Hotel was quite good overall. The breakfasts offered a wide variety of dishes, and the location was convenient, not far from the city center. There was also a supermarket nearby, which was very handy. A few practical notes for future travelers: standard rooms are equipped with 2 separate beds rather than 1 large bed. Slippers and bathrobes are not provided. A hairdryer was available, but the complimentary shower gel and shampoo packets were quite small .
