Day 1 - Departure from Moscow
19:00 Bus pick-up from Elektrostal, Lenin Avenue, 08B (stop near Elgrad).
19:15 Departure from Elektrostal.
19:30 Bus pick-up in Noginsk, Komsomolskaya str., 76 (near the bus stop).
19:45 Departure from Noginsk.
20:30 Departure of the bus to Balashikha.
22:00 Gathering of the group in Moscow: VDNKh metro station, parking lot to the right of the Kosmos Hotel.
22:30 Departure to St. Petersburg via the M11 highway (travel time about 10 hours, ~700 km).
Overnight transfer (2-3 sanitary stops along the way).

Day 2 - Country trip "To the sources of the Neva River" to Shlisselburg – klyuch-gorod
Arrival in Saint Petersburg.

Country trip "To the sources of the Neva River" in Shlisselburg – klyuch-gorod.
We will take a trip to the past of the Prince's lands and go to the Shlisselburg Bay of Lake Ladoga, where the Oreshek fortress awaits us on a small Orekhov Island. It is also Noteburg and Schlisselburg.
Sightseeing tour of Schlisselburg, during which you will see the famous Ladoga Canal, laid under Peter the Great "to avert the danger of navigation", a huge Admiralty anchor of the Peter the Great era, raised from the bottom of the Neva, a monument to Peter the Great, the locks of the Petrovsky Canal and the Annunciation Cathedral, reminiscent of the main temple in the Petrovsky fortress.
Transfer by boat to Orekhovy Island (10-15 minutes).
Sightseeing tour of the Oreshek Fortress, one of the oldest Russian fortresses in Northwestern Russia. You will learn about the most important historical events that unfolded on the small Orekhov Island in different eras.
Transfer by boat to Shlisselburg.
Return to St. Petersburg.

I really enjoyed the tour, even despite the snowfall. The itinerary was packed with activities and experiences - so much so that by the second day we were feeling pleasantly tired. The lunches were excellent, and we were glad we chose to include them. The organization was outstanding, and our guide, Nelli, was wonderful. She shared a wealth of interesting information and presented it in a way that kept everyone engaged throughout the trip. The Druzhba Hotel was quite good overall. The breakfasts offered a wide variety of dishes, and the location was convenient, not far from the city center. There was also a supermarket nearby, which was very handy. A few practical notes for future travelers: standard rooms are equipped with 2 separate beds rather than 1 large bed. Slippers and bathrobes are not provided. A hairdryer was available, but the complimentary shower gel and shampoo packets were quite small .
