Transfer to Vyborg. A guided tour telling about the historical events and nature of the Karelian Isthmus.

14:00 Transfer to Vyborg. A guided tour.
16:00 Walking tour of the center of Vyborg — our guide will tell you about the history of the city, its legends and secrets. You will see the Market Square, the Peter and Paul Cathedral, the Transfiguration Cathedral, the Panzerlaks bastion, the Town Hall Tower.
A tour of the Castle Island, where the medieval knightly Vyborg Castle is located — the symbol of the city.
18:30 Participation in the "Manor Pretzel" program, held at the pretzel Museum. A burgher, a rich Swedish citizen, will meet you and treat you to the famous Vyborg pretzel. You will be transformed into the heroes of medieval Vyborg and a tasting of glega. After the program, you can visit the manor itself, where you can buy souvenirs, take pictures with dolls of the owners of the Carriage house, the Louhi witch.

12:00 Master class on baking a real Vyborg pretzel.
You will learn about its history, recipes and participate in the manufacturing process yourself. We will try an authentic medieval pretzel recipe.
15:00 Lunch at the cafe (for those who have paid half board).
16:00 Excursion to the Alvar Aalto Library.
You will be able to discover the amazing architecture of functionalism by visiting the only library in Russia, built according to the project of the outstanding Finnish architect Alvar Aalto.
This building was built specifically to house a library, taking into account all the processes taking place in the book house.
17:00 Free time in the Old Town to buy souvenirs.
18:00 Departure to St. Petersburg.
Return to St. Petersburg at approximately 21:00 at the Moskovsky railway station.
We recommend buying tickets for night trains or booking an extra night in St. Petersburg.
