Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Big Boldino

    Independent arrival in Nizhny Novgorod until 07:00.

    Check-in at the hotel after the tour program.

    If you arrive much earlier than 07:00, you can get to your hotel on your own and leave your belongings in the luggage room, purchase a buffet breakfast.

    Please inform the representative of the tour operator if you wish to join the group at the hotel.

    07:15-07:30 Boarding at Lenin Square.

    If you arrive at the train station around 07:30, then at 07:10 a tour bus will pick you up.

    The estate became a safe haven for him, where he could find solace and inspiration.

    The village of Bolshoe Boldino is an ancient patrimony of the Pushkin family.

    The poet spent three autumns here: in 1830, 1833 and 1834.

    In 1974, the patrimonial office was restored, in the residential half of which Pushkin stayed during his last visit to Boldino in 1834.

    Manor complex.

    In the 1980s and 1990s, the manor complex was completely recreated.

    A manor kitchen, a bathhouse, a servants' hall, a stable with a carriage house and a barn reappeared in their former places.

    The estate is surrounded by a 19th-century manor park.

    Here you can see century-old lime trees, oaks and maples, as well as a pond, which is mentioned in the works of Pushkin.

    Pushkin's estate in Boldino is an important cultural and historical monument.

    The Pushkin Fairy Tales Museum is a unique cultural facility dedicated to the work of the great Russian poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin.

    The stone Church of the Assumption of the 18th century, built by the poet's grandfather and consecrated in the year of his birth, has been restored in Boldino.

    Luchinnik Grove: the poet's favorite refuge In the picturesque surroundings of the village, just 3 km to the southeast, is the charming Luchinnik grove.

    Its emerald crown is clearly visible from the outskirts of the village, inviting travelers to immerse themselves in its enchanting atmosphere.

    For the great poet, who often took horseback rides in these places, Luchinnik was a favorite refuge.

    Here, under the shade of the spreading trees, he found inspiration and solitude.

    The grove is surrounded by endless glades covered with a thick carpet of green grass, which retains its juiciness until late autumn.

    A steep path descends from the edge of the forest, leading to an ancient spring.

    Its clear waters, preserved from ancient times, quench thirst and evoke thoughts of the past.

    Luchinnik is not just a grove, but a place where nature and history intertwine, creating a unique and inspiring atmosphere.

    Here you can feel the spirit of the great poet who once roamed these paths, and find your own inspiration in this picturesque corner.

    There were several things we really liked: the clear organization of transport and timing, and the fact that the bus picked us up from the hotel and, at our request, dropped us back at the Court Inn after the tour. It was very convenient. The bus itself was clean and comfortable; having water available on request would have made it perfect. The Court Inn hotel was excellent, thank you for booking it for us. It had a pleasant, refined atmosphere, great breakfasts, and lovely touches for March 8–9, with champagne, fruit, and pastries available throughout the day. It’s also just a 10-minute walk from Pokrovskaya pedestrian street, close to attractions like the Kashirin House Museum, the Yurkovka Museum, churches, and old merchant houses ... On the downside, the 1st day’s combined bus and walking tour involved quite a long walk. We visited Strelka, Rozhdestvenskaya Street, the Kremlin, and Pokrovskaya Street — all very interesting but having to walk all the way to the Rukavishnikov estate at the end!!! Was a bit too much. By then everyone was tired, and it was hard to fully appreciate it. It would be better to arrange a bus transfer from Pokrovskaya. As for the 2nd day - the trip to Semyonov and Gorodets — we really enjoyed it. The only downside was that there wasn’t quite enough time in Gorodets, as many places were closing early for the March 8 holiday. It would have been nicer to return at 7 p.m. as planned, rather than at 5 p.m. Overall, we really enjoyed the trip! Thank you to the providers for such a wonderful experience.
