Day 1 - Sightseeing tour of Nizhny Novgorod
We recommend trains arriving in Nizhny Novgorod before 11:10.
11:00-11:25 Meeting with a representative of the tour operator at the railway station.
The meeting place with the representative of the tour operator is in the central hall of the station, at the souvenir stand to the left of the exit.
Boarding the bus. Things on the bus. Check-in after the excursion program (early check-in is possible for an additional fee).
11:30 Departure for the excursion program.
A bus and walking sightseeing tour of the city awaits you.
The first stop will be the confluence of two majestic rivers: The Oka and Volga Rivers, called the “Arrow".
You will see the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
During the tour, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the merchant mansions, apartment buildings on Rozhdestvenskaya Street and Nizhnevolzhskaya Embankment.
You will see the famous squares of the city and monuments to Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky, Maxim Gorky and Valery Chkalov.
Next, we will stop at the foot of the Chkalovskaya Stairs on the Volga embankment.
From the observation deck, you can appreciate the grandeur of the stairs and the size of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, as well as admire the panoramic views of the Zarechnaya part of the city and the Strelka district.
Our New Year's tour will continue on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.
Here you will find yourself in the atmosphere of an ancient fortress city and learn about the history of this ancient fortification, as well as about the legends and legends associated with the construction of the towers of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.
During a walk through the fortress, you will see monuments to the founders of the city — Georgy Vsevolodovich and St. Simon, the famous Mikhailo-Archangel Cathedral, the obelisk in honor of Minin and Pozharsky, as well as the Arakcheev cadet corps, an airplane-shaped building (the House of Soviets), the Governor's House and an alley with military equipment in the open air "Gorkovchane — to the front."

Verkhne-Volzhskaya embankment is one of the most picturesque and historical places in Nizhny Novgorod.
This embankment was built in the 19th century and has since become a favorite vacation spot for residents and visitors of the city.
There are many architectural monuments on the embankment, such as the governor's house and the house of merchant Rukavishnikov.

The Voznesensky Caves Monastery is a historic place with a rich history that began around 1330.
Today, its architectural ensemble impresses with its beauty and grandeur.
The church above the gate, the temple and the cathedral, built in the middle of the 17th century, are connected by a gallery with a balcony and a long fraternal building.
All this creates a harmonious impression of this holy place.
The unique sloping bell tower and the alley with busts of all the emperors of the Romanov dynasty leading to the monastery are its distinctive features.

12:00 Cable car ride to Bora and back.
One of the highest and longest cable cars in Europe stretches over the Volga River.
Its 3.6 km long route offers breathtaking views of the river and the city from a height.
You will see unique winter landscapes that amaze with their beauty.
Among the vast expanses, the Pechersk Monastery, the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, and the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral shine like precious stones.

We invite you to visit the brightest New Year's playground in the city – the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair.
Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of celebration and magic.
You will visit the fair pavilions decorated with garlands and Christmas toys, and admire the installations of live firs and fir trees.
During the tour, you will see a giant balance swing and a fairground woman decorated with lights.
You can also take a ride on the carousel, which was donated to Nizhny Novgorod by Moscow.
15:00 The end of the tour at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair.
Free time.
A city skating rink (sessions) and a Christmas market are organized on the territory of the fair, where you can spend your free time and rent skating rinks.
A festive concert program, a Christmas market, outdoor games and dances, quests and master classes, and many New Year's surprises await you.
Don't forget to visit Santa Claus's residence, where you can chat with New Year's characters and make a wish.
The tour will end with a visit to the Christmas market, where you can buy handmade gifts and souvenirs.

The Fedorovsky Monastery is a men's monastery in Gorodets, famous for the discovery of the icon of the Mother of God of the same name.
The monastery keeps a revered list of the Feodorovskaya Icon of the Mother of God, one of the most respected icons of the Virgin in Russia.
During the tour, you will walk through the beautiful and well-groomed territory of the monastery, learn the amazing and rich history of this place from the guide.
Visit to the museum "The Terem of the Russian samovar".
The museum is located in the Grishaev estate.
The samovar has long been considered a symbol of home comfort and well-being.
He occupied a place of honor in the house and served as a kind of amulet.
Despite the fact that in the XVIII–XIX centuries the cost of a samovar averaged 25 rubles (a cow could be bought for 1 ruble), every family aspired to have this item.

There were several things we really liked: the clear organization of transport and timing, and the fact that the bus picked us up from the hotel and, at our request, dropped us back at the Court Inn after the tour. It was very convenient. The bus itself was clean and comfortable; having water available on request would have made it perfect. The Court Inn hotel was excellent, thank you for booking it for us. It had a pleasant, refined atmosphere, great breakfasts, and lovely touches for March 8–9, with champagne, fruit, and pastries available throughout the day. It’s also just a 10-minute walk from Pokrovskaya pedestrian street, close to attractions like the Kashirin House Museum, the Yurkovka Museum, churches, and old merchant houses ... On the downside, the 1st day’s combined bus and walking tour involved quite a long walk. We visited Strelka, Rozhdestvenskaya Street, the Kremlin, and Pokrovskaya Street — all very interesting but having to walk all the way to the Rukavishnikov estate at the end!!! Was a bit too much. By then everyone was tired, and it was hard to fully appreciate it. It would be better to arrange a bus transfer from Pokrovskaya. As for the 2nd day - the trip to Semyonov and Gorodets — we really enjoyed it. The only downside was that there wasn’t quite enough time in Gorodets, as many places were closing early for the March 8 holiday. It would have been nicer to return at 7 p.m. as planned, rather than at 5 p.m. Overall, we really enjoyed the trip! Thank you to the providers for such a wonderful experience.
