Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Veliky Novgorod. City sightseeing tour
06:24 (Moscow time)/10:26 (St. Petersburg) Estimated time of arrival in Veliky Novgorod.
Meeting with the guide at the main entrance to the railway station from the platform.
Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation (in the morning, if possible at the hotel or for an additional fee, approx. the hour is 14.00).
Breakfast in the hotel restaurant, except for the hotel On Prusskaya (morning tea, coffee, snacks).
For tourists arriving after 10:00 a.m., breakfast is replaced with lunch.
11:00 is the approximate start time of the tour.

Day 2 - Staraya Russa

Departure to Staraya Russa, a salt city on the Great Waterway "From the Varangians to the Greeks" (100 km), information on the way.
Sightseeing tour of the city.
Staraya Russa is one of the oldest Russian cities.
Monuments of ancient architecture: Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery (late 12th century), Mina Church (14th century), St. Nicholas Church (14th-19th centuries), Trinity Church and Resurrection Cathedral (late 17th century).
Lunch in the city center.
Excursion to the F.M. Dostoevsky House Museum, where the novels "The Brothers Karamazov", "Demons" and other works were written. The interiors of several memorial rooms have been recreated here.

Day 3 - Excursion to Valdai. Completion of the tour

Valdai (140 km) is the pearl of the Novgorod land, a small ancient city on the Moscow – Novgorod highway.

Transfer to the Khrestetsky pogost, former post office in the village of Kresttsy (54 km).
09:30 Excursion to the Christmas Tree toy factory.
An experienced glassblower manually produces at least 200 balls per day. You will see how a beautiful, unusual-shaped toy is made from a glass tube.

14:00 Excursion program: Valdai Iversky Svyatoozersky Bogoroditsky Monastery, located on one of the islands of the picturesque Holy Lake. The richest and most famous monastery of its time.

15:30 Departure to V. Novgorod.
~17:30 Return to V. Novgorod.
Transfer to the railway station for tourists departing to Saint Petersburg.
