Sakhalin, Iturup, Kunashir and Shikotan. A trip to another planet

We offer you to take part in an incredibly intense and unique trip to Sakhalin and all the inhabited islands of the Southern Kurils (Iturup, Kunashir and Shikotan). During one trip, you will see not only all the main attractions of the region, but also little-known places where tourists rarely go.

We will explore active volcanoes and descend into craters, swim in hot thermal springs and in the ocean, walk along the ebb and ride along the edge of the sea in off-road vehicles, go on large ferries and small speedboats, collect oysters and taste caviar, look into the mouth of fumarole cracks, listen to the roar of escaping hot steam and walk through dairy rivers with jelly banks on the edge of a turquoise lake. We will see the "business card" of each island, its symbol and emblem.

The dates and program of the tours are preliminary. The exact date and program will be known only after the launch of the ferry schedule for 2025 (December-January).

Tour organizer's comments

We travel between the islands by ferry, and a team with good off-road vehicles prepared for cross-country trips will be waiting for us on each island. The crossings between locations are small with frequent stops for sightseeing.

According to weather conditions, when changing the ferry schedule and taking into account the capabilities of the group, the route sequence can be changed or individual locations can be replaced with equivalent ones while maintaining the overall saturation of the route.

When ordering our trip, you will be able to choose the level of comfort when staying in hotels. We offer standard double rooms as a basic option. On Sakhalin, these are good three-four-star hotels with a full range of services and spacious rooms.

In the Kuril Islands, the number of rooms is limited, when booking a trip in recent months, amenities may be on the floor. An option with comfortable accommodation in premium hotels (available everywhere except Shikotan) is available on request.

If you book a trip no later than 7 months before it starts, it is possible to settle in single rooms. If you order 3-4 months in advance, single occupancy may no longer be possible.

Ferries have standard four-person third-class cabins. Some ferries have first and second class cabins with more comfortable accommodation. The possibility of booking premium cabins is specified at the time of booking.

Budget accommodation in hostels on all islands is possible. The discount (up to 20 thousand rubles) is calculated individually.
