Sakhalin — reboot

09:00 Departure from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk by bus. The journey time with stops is about 3 hours, 143 km in one direction.

On the way, we will visit the Amber coast, where the sea throws out amber, and numerous seals bask on the rocks. 

Next, we will stop by to see the Japanese Torii gates, which were installed in front of Japanese temples.

An intermediate stop in the village of Vzmorye, where you can buy freshly caught crabs (boiled).

Arrival at Tikhaya Bay. A walk along the coast — lagoons, grottoes, gorges and, of course, the bird market on the island of "Noticeable".

Lunch — traditional Korean Hemultan soup, freshly boiled crab, caviar, Far Eastern salads (Sakhalin wild plants), various snacks and Sakhalin tea.

Travel time is approximately 3 hours (100 km one way, difficult road) with stops at observation decks. 

Walking along the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk — magnificent stone arches, columns and kekurs created by wind and sea waves, grottoes and bird bazaars of amazing beauty.

Lunch — fish soup, snacks, Far Eastern salads and, of course, real Sakhalin tea.

Free time.

Return to the hotel in the evening.

Departure from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk at 06:00. 

The road will take place in several stages. 

First, along the paved road to the city of Nevelsk. 

After that, follow the dirt road to the village of Shebunino, and then the most interesting, extreme and exciting part of the journey will begin, from the village of Shebunino to Cape Kuznetsov right along the seashore, wading 6 rivers on mighty SUV jeeps.

Cape Vindis is also called the mountain-gingerbread. We will pass it on our way to Cape Kuznetsov.

An intermediate stop at Cape Kuznetsova, where you can get acquainted with the local bear, Lech, who has been living at the base for many years (take delicious gifts for Lehi, he loves them very much, especially condensed milk). 

A walk along the shore to caves and steep cliffs, at low tide you can find a real delicacy on the shore — a sea urchin. A trip to the old lighthouse.

Then transfer to Cape Krillon. The road will pass through the hills, with dense thickets of bamboo. 

Here and there, World War II combat vehicles and Japanese military fortifications that have survived to the present day will look out from the thickets. A real open-air museum. 

Arrival at Cape Krillon. In good weather, the Japanese coast of Hokkaido Island can be seen from the cape. 

We recommend that you switch your phone to airplane mode before traveling to the cape, as it may switch to roaming.

A walk along the cape to the monument to the war liberators of Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands. 

Inspection of military equipment from the Second World War, rocks and the largest larga rookery on Sakhalin. 

And of course, in this place, where you feel yourself at the very edge of the earth, standing on the shore of the La Perouse Strait, you should throw a pebble into the water, as in the song by Jan Frenkel "Well, what can I tell you about Sakhalin".

Return to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk late in the evening (21:00-22:00).

06:00 Departure for the route. The way to the south of the island along a route about 130 km long in one direction passes through the port city of Korsakov, where you can see the island port. Not far from Korsakov, Russia's first liquefied natural gas plant and the Prigorodnoye port are located, where huge gas carriers come to refuel.

Next, you will discover wonderful views of the coast of the Aniva Bay and the lake of the lagoon "Busse", one of the most unique places in Sakhalin.

Arrival in the village of Novikovo, safety briefing, boarding large motorboats and departure to the Aniva lighthouse. 

The most interesting part of the route begins. Along the way, we will stop near the most beautiful rocks of the Aniva Peninsula, from which waterfalls fall. The purest waters of the Sea of Japan will allow you to see marine mammals and fish. Along the way, you can often meet numerous seals, and in early summer there are killer whales and sea lions.

Arrival at the Aniva Lighthouse. In good weather, disembarkation from boats is possible. You will be able to go inside the lighthouse and see with your own eyes how everything was arranged inside. Climb to the very top, from where you can enjoy stunning views of the two coasts of Sakhalin, washed by the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan.

Transfer to Cape Marble, which is located 16 km north of Cape Aniva. 

Arrival at Cape Marble. Everyone can visit the White Stone — an interesting pile of white stones among the black rocks.

The departure time for the route may vary depending on the tide map. The length of the route is about 150 km. 

Arrival at the camp. The briefing. Issue of equipment (life jackets and boots). Boarding a rowing catamaran. Crossing the channel to the shoal. 

Next, a walking route along the water is about 1 km to the center of the lake, where the so-called oyster "jar" is located. Here, in the algae, you can find numerous sea urchins, scallops, trepang, wild giant oysters and other representatives of the unique lagoon lake. 

Return to the camp. A delicious seafood lunch, baked and raw oysters, fish soup cooked over a campfire and everything that we can find and collect in the lake. 

Return to the hotel in the evening. Dinner on your own.

Lake Busse is a specially protected natural area, and we value its ecology very much. The visit to the oyster jar is for informational purposes only.

09:00 Departure from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. The approximate travel time is about three hours. 

On the way, stop at artificially created lakes. They appeared after the flooding of the coal mines. The water in them is an incredible bright turquoise color. 

Arrival at Cape Evstafia is one of the most picturesque corners of Sakhalin. 

The cape is connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus, which forms two bays. At the base of the cape, you can admire the wave-scarred rock outcrops and kekurs. 

Birds nest here, and the most beautiful views open up at the top — the feeling that you are alone at the edge of the world.

Departure for the route at 09:00. Arrival at Cape Ostroy. A walk along the coast. 

Cape Ostroy or Ostromysovka is one of the wild corners of the eastern coast of Sakhalin. It got its name because of the numerous sharp rocks jutting deep into the sea. The rocks themselves resemble a layer cake in shape. 

Marine animals, seals, are found on the rocks. And from July to the end of August, you can watch the spawning of Pacific salmon. 

It was on this cape that the ruins of the ancient Ainu fortress "Chasi" were found.

If desired, it is possible to swim or pick up sea urchins in shallow water.

Then transfer to the Bykovsky rapids. 

The Bykovsky rapids are a whole staircase of small cascades on the Krasnoarmeyka mountain river. 

At the end of the last century, the river was blocked by a natural stone dam three meters high, and the waterfall fell with deafening noise. However, at the same time, the dam was blown up to give way to salmon fish.

8:00 Departure for the route. 

The first stop is in Kholmsk.

Then departure north along the western coast of Sakhalin. Departure to the sand spit of Cape Slepikovsky. 

Cape Slepikovsky is a unique natural complex that includes a number of flora and fauna objects that are found only here. Sakhalin Baltic, with real sand dunes. 

Black magnetic sands. Walk along the coast to the lighthouse. In this place, the island is washed by warm currents and there is an opportunity to swim.

Transfer to the Nikolaichuk railway station. 

Passage through the tunnels (we recommend taking a flashlight with you). Access to the bridges. A short walk. 

The Devil's and Witch's Bridge is a legacy from the time of Karafuto. A real man-made monument of Japanese militarism, preserved to this day. 

Bridges built in mountainous areas are the tallest in the Far East, and the view from the bridge in Soviet times was considered the most beautiful in the country. 

Then transfer to the lake "Secret". There is an incredible panoramic view on the observation deck.

10:00 Departure from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

On the territory of the village of Vesochka, 17 km from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, there is one of the most mysterious places in Russia — the rocky outlier "Frog". 

The Frog Rock is part of a ridge of rocks built one after another, like the planets of the Solar system. It was once the bottom of an ancient sea, and fossilized shells can be found in its vicinity. 

From the top of the cliff there are amazing views of the Aniva Bay, the Tunaycha and Changeable lakes.

Among the ancient Ainu, the Frog Rock was a temple of wisdom and a place of rituals, and the outlier itself was complemented by a dolmen-type stone building. It is believed that the area of Vesti and the Frog is the energy center of Sakhalin, a place of power.

11:00 Arrival in the village. A message, an exit to the m route along an ecological trail equipped with information boards telling about the geology of this place, growing plants. The journey time will be about 30-40 minutes. 

Sakhalin nature will delight you with its beauty. You will meet the "stone of desires", just be careful with desires, first it is better to understand that you need exactly this, and then put it into words correctly. 

It is important to remember that the area of the News carries a strong energy charge, it is undesirable to think about the bad here.

Climbing the "Frog", the height of the ascent is not more than 200 meters.
