Breakfast on the train.
09:50 Arrival of the tourist train in the city of Syzran.
Meeting with the guide on the platform, boarding the bus.
Bus and walking tour of the city. Syzran, the third largest city in the Samara Region, retains the charm of a 19th-century provincial merchant city in the 21st century. Today, the city bizarrely combines the comfort of a modern city and the charm of an ancient merchant province.
Syzran stretches on 5 rivers at once, and we will admire the Kremlin, the ancient chapel (the oldest building in the province), the beautiful panorama of the confluence of two rivers, and the new embankment of the city.
Transfer to Samarskaya Luka. Once upon a time, on the territory of the modern Samara region, the Volga made a sharp turn, encircling the Zhiguli Mountains and forming the mysterious and very beautiful Samara Luka, the recognized pearl of the Volga.
It is on this road that we will go on a journey. Different ancient seas washed this territory, mammoths and dinosaurs swam here, the climate changed, but the glacier did not reach here, and the mountains did not allow the ancient seas to flood the Onion.
Excursion to Popova Gora in Samarskaya Luka National Park, offering stunning views that inspired the famous artist Ilya Yefimovich Repin.
You will have the opportunity to take photos against the backdrop of the picturesque Volga expanses, as well as the sculptural compositions of the National Park. You will visit tunnels extending up to 5 kilometers deep, where the local merchant Vanyushin organized limestone mining in the 19th century.
In the tunnels, you will have the opportunity to see the types of rocks that make up the Zhiguli Mountains, and make secret wishes for some stones.
Lunch with Burlat fish soup and tincture of Zhiguli cherries. Zhiguli cherry is a unique, extremely tasty and sweet variety, which was bred by Alexey Beshev in the middle of the last century.
The Beshchevskaya cherry grows on the limestone soils of the Zhiguli Mountains. At a small tasting – we will have liqueur and Burlatskaya Volga fish soup — let's taste the Zhiguli!
Transfer to Tolyatti.
You will drive along the Zhiguli hydroelectric dam, a unique hydraulic structure separating the Saratov and Kuibyshev reservoirs – popularly known as the Zhiguli Sea.
Excursion to the production of "Bulls cider". The bakery was established in 2023. For the production of cider, only local apples growing in the Samara region are used. We will get acquainted with the production, try 5 varieties of cider for delicious snacks from the Tolyatti producer.
After the tour ends, visit the company store, which contains the most delicious and craft products of Tolyatti and Samara province, from cider to luxury cheese factory cheeses.
Dinner in Tolyatti with Volga walleye.
Visit to Garibaldi Castle. A beautiful Neo-Gothic castle sprawls on the banks of the Volga River. In front of the entrance, you will be greeted by mythological winged Griffin creatures with the body of a lion and the head of an eagle.
We invite you to stroll through the park at sunset, enjoy the magnificent views, hear the history and legends of its creation and take unique photographs of the European Middle Ages in the Volga countryside.
22:00 Return to Tolyatti, transfer to the railway station, boarding the train.
Boarding the train from 19:00 (departure of the train from Tolyatti to Samara at 05:10).
