08:30 Meeting with the guide (sign "Zhiguli weekend") at the historical Syzran 1 railway station, the building of which was built in 1874.
Syzran, the third largest city in the Samara Region, retains the charm of a 19th-century provincial merchant city in the 21st century.
Founded in 1683 as a military fortress, the city later became known for successful trade, prosperous agriculture and famous craftsmen.
Boarding the bus, and the first taste of Syzran, every tourist will receive a bottle of dvortsovaya water. According to legend, it was the local water that was sent to St. Petersburg to the court of Catherine II. Indeed, artesian water is famous for its wonderful taste and beneficial qualities.
Water is one of the ingredients that gives an amazing taste to another product, local tea, which is made in local water with fragrant local herbs.
The beginning of acquaintance with merchant Syzran. The first exit is in the very heart of the city, near the only fragment of the ancient Kremlin that has been preserved in the Samara region, the Spasskaya Tower.
The ancient city was located at the confluence of rivers (the Volga and its 4 tributaries flow through Syzran), and we will admire the Kremlin tower, the ancient chapel (the oldest building in the province) and the beautiful panorama of the confluence of rivers.
The guide will show you the place where Syzran people grow the most delicious tomatoes, the "Syzran tomato", as it is called here, red, sweet, fleshy.
On your own – breakfast/coffee at the old Kremlin.
Departure to Samarskaya Luka.
Once upon a time, on the territory of the modern Samara region, the Volga made a sharp turn, encircling the Zhiguli Mountains and forming the mysterious and very beautiful Samara Luka, the recognized pearl of the Volga.
We will drive along the Zhiguli hydroelectric dam, a unique hydraulic structure separating the Saratov and Kuibyshev reservoirs (our Zhiguli Sea).
Different ancient seas washed this territory, mammoths and dinosaurs swam here, the climate changed, but the glacier did not reach here, and the mountains did not allow the ancient seas to flood the Onion.
Therefore, like Noah's Ark, Samara Luka has preserved for us the relics (pre—glacial plants) that still live here, and the unique climate has given birth to endemic plants found nowhere else but the Zhiguli Mountains.
Excursion to Strelnaya mountain, route of Zhiguli Nature Reserve. This is a place of power and the amazingly beautiful peak of the Zhiguli Mountains.
The height is 351 meters above sea level, but it is easy and comfortable to climb: a comfortable staircase leads to the top, as if floating above the Samara Bow.
The main thing when climbing is admiring the panorama and looking at endemic plants and relics, do not forget to make a wish at the "stone woman", imagine the dashing Volga Cossacks on the "devil's bridge".
And also listen to the story that it was from this peak that Stepan Razin was looking for merchant ships suitable for an attack (during the races from November to March, climbing Popova Gora and exploring the tunnels, being treated to mulled wine from Zhiguli cherries).
Transfer to Shiryaevo, which has the status of the most beautiful village in Russia
Rural lunch with a pie and tincture of Zhiguli cherries. Zhiguli cherry is a unique, extremely tasty and sweet variety, which was bred by Alexey Beshev in the middle of the last century. The Beshchevskaya cherry grows on the limestone soils of the Zhiguli Mountains.
For a small tasting, we will have liqueur and cherry pies, let's taste the Lada!
Shiryaevo became the "place of power" of the artist Ilya Repin, who spent the whole summer of 1870 creating his famous painting "Boatmen on the Volga" here. They will tell us about this in the museum located in the house where Ilya Repin stayed with his artist friends.
Transfer to Tolyatti. The first acquaintance with the city – we will see the beautiful Zhiguli Sea at the monument to the founder of Stavropol (as Tolyatti was called until 1964), where the city was once located.
Check-in at the hotel.
