Itinerary

Day 1 - New Year's sightseeing tour of St. Petersburg
You arrive at the hotel on your own.
A shuttle service to the hotel is available for an additional fee and must be booked in advance: private transfer from the train station/airport (from 1,700 rubles/car).
Guaranteed hotel accommodation after 14:00. You can leave your belongings free of charge in the luggage room of the hotel.
Important information: tourists staying at the A-Hotel Fontanka Hotel come to the Azimut Hotel (a nearby building) for a meeting and departure for an excursion.
From 12:00 to 14:00 (before departure for the program), a representative of the company with a sign "Sightseeing Petersburg" will meet you in the lobby of the hotel. He will answer all your questions, give you updated tour programs and offer additional excursions that you can purchase at will.

New Year's sightseeing tour of St. Petersburg "On New Year's Eve".
New Year is a time of miracles and wonderful mood. And also a festive atmosphere, a part of which you will certainly get on this tour.
Driving through the historical center of the city, you will admire the winter New Year's St. Petersburg, find out where the tradition of decorating the Christmas tree came from, how New Year and Christmas were celebrated in St. Petersburg, what St. Petersburg New Year traditions existed, and what gifts were accepted to give.

A tour of the Peter and Paul Fortress.
Peter and Paul Fortress is the "heart" of the city, the place from which the history of St. Petersburg began. You will see a "city within a city" – typical buildings of Peter the Great's time, the operating enterprise "Mint", where commemorative coins, orders and medals are still minted.
You will visit the Peter and Paul Cathedral, where the graves of Russian emperors and empresses, as well as grand dukes and princesses have been preserved.
Excursion to the Peter and Paul Cathedral.
For a long time, the Peter and Paul Cathedral was a monument to the glory of Russian weapons. Captured banners and keys to cities and fortresses captured by Russian troops have been kept here for two centuries. At the beginning of the 20th century, these relics were transferred to the Hermitage.
Copies of Swedish and Turkish banners are now on display in the cathedral.
Excursion to St. Isaac's Cathedral.
St. Isaac's Cathedral will appear before you as a unique work of Russian art of the middle of the XIX century. You will see magnificent wall paintings and paintings on canvas made by famous Russian artists and admire mosaic icons, which were created using smalt in more than 12,000 colors and shades.
You will be amazed by the abundance of various types of stone (from granite to malachite and turquoise) that went into the decoration of the temple.

The Ambassador Hotel is located in the historical center of St. Petersburg, a 7-minute walk from Sadovaya Metro Station.

You will learn how the New Year was celebrated in St. Petersburg, starting from the time of Emperor Peter I. You will visit the Spit of Vasilyevsky Island, where one of the most beautiful Christmas trees shimmers with colorful lights. You will make cherished wishes from the most St. Petersburg "wizards" - mysterious Sphinxes and a cheerful Chizhik-Pyzhik.

A special thank you to her for making the trip so enjoyable! The hotels I stayed at during the tour were extremely comfortable and truly deserve the highest praise! The tour was absolutely wonderful! Each day was packed with incredible experiences, all of them very positive. Our guide, Anastasia Pokrovskaya, was fantastic! The only downside was the accommodation in St. Petersburg – Hotel "Moscow" didn’t quite meet the promised comfort level. Next time I visit this amazing city, I’ll be choosing different lodging.
