Day 1 - Excursion "Palaces of St. Petersburg and their owners" and the Faberge Museum

Bus tour "Palaces of St. Petersburg and their owners". Sometimes it seems that all the buildings in our city are palaces. Of course, this is only an appearance, but there are really a lot of them in St. Petersburg. But there is no palace without painting, sculpture, balls, music, a cozy garden or park. This is the atmosphere that surrounds the owners of the palaces, to whom this tour is dedicated.
15:30 Excursion to the Shuvalov Palace – the magnificent Faberge Jewelry Museum. Carefully restored interiors and real wonders of jewelry art are hidden behind the modest facades of the Shuvalov Palace. The museum has an unparalleled collection of Russian jewelry and decorative and applied arts of the XIX-XX centuries. The most valuable and famous items in the museum's collection are 9 imperial Easter eggs created by Carl Gustav Faberge.
At the end of the tour, you will find a small gastronomic surprise – the signature dessert "Faberge Egg", which is prepared only here.

Bus tour "Along the old The Peterhof Road". Peterhof Road is a unique complex, almost the same age as St. Petersburg, combining imperial residences and private estates, gardens and parks located on the shore of the Gulf of Finland.
13:00 Tour of the Grand Peterhof Palace – majestic and exquisite. Its ornate interiors are filled with numerous works of art and tell about the life of Russian rulers.
17:00 The end of the program is in the city center. Independent return to the hotel or train station.

I really enjoyed the tour, even despite the snowfall. The itinerary was packed with activities and experiences - so much so that by the second day we were feeling pleasantly tired. The lunches were excellent, and we were glad we chose to include them. The organization was outstanding, and our guide, Nelli, was wonderful. She shared a wealth of interesting information and presented it in a way that kept everyone engaged throughout the trip. The Druzhba Hotel was quite good overall. The breakfasts offered a wide variety of dishes, and the location was convenient, not far from the city center. There was also a supermarket nearby, which was very handy. A few practical notes for future travelers: standard rooms are equipped with 2 separate beds rather than 1 large bed. Slippers and bathrobes are not provided. A hairdryer was available, but the complimentary shower gel and shampoo packets were quite small .
