A 4-day train cruise. Novosibirsk – Altai – Gornaya Shoriya – Novosibirsk

Our first stop is the city of Biysk, one of the oldest cities in Siberia. 

After breakfast in a cafe in the city, we will take buses on a trip around Altai in accordance with the program you have chosen. 

Program 1.

Getting to know the Belokurikha resort. 

Let's plunge into the atmosphere of real rest and health in the oldest resort city in Siberia. 

We move to Belokurikha, take a cable car to the top of the mountain with incredible panoramic views of the Belokurikha valley, learn the secrets and legends of the resort. 

We get acquainted with the historical part of the resort, famous for its healing thermal springs and go to the modern Belokurikha Mountain. 

We have lunch at the Olymp restaurant, with a magnificent view of the mountains and go to the Andreevskaya Sloboda Museum to touch the life and everyday life of the peasants who lived here in the 19th century. 

We begin the descent with stops at the viewing platforms of the serpentine to see how the West Siberian plain meets the Altai foothills. 

In Biysk, we immerse ourselves in the atmosphere and architecture of the ancient Siberian merchant city, which has become an important transport hub on the way to Mongolia and China from the fortress. 

Dinner, transfer to the railway station to continue our amazing cruise in Southern Siberia. 

A Mountain Shoria awaits us in the morning! 

Program 2.

Sightseeing tour of the Altai Mountains. 

After breakfast, we will drive through the Altai Territory from Biysk, stop at the birthplace of the great Russian writer V.M. Shukshin. 

After crossing the border of the Altai Mountains, we find ourselves in a completely different world. On the famous Manzherok, we will climb the longest cable car in Siberia to Sinyukha to see the incredible surroundings of the mountain valley. 

We have lunch and go on to the beginning of the boat trip. 

In the village of Barangol, at the river station, we transfer to motor boats, Katun awaits us ahead.

Supper. 

We are moving to our train to continue the cruise in Southern Siberia. 

A Mountain Shoria awaits us in the morning!

Welcome to Gornaya Shoria, a protected country at the junction of Altai and Sayan. 

In the homeland of the amazing small-numbered Taiga people - the Shors and in the most popular mountain resort of Siberia - in Sheregesh! 

Meeting with the guide at the Chugunash bus stop platform, we board buses in accordance with the program of your trip and go to the city of Tashtagol for breakfast. 

Program 1.

Golden Shoria. Sheregesh. 

After breakfast, we begin a small trip to the city in the palm of the taiga – Tashtagol, the administrative capital of the Mountain Shoria and the youngest city of Kuzbass. 

At the Museum of Ethnography and Nature of Gornaya Shoria, we get acquainted with the culture, way of life and beliefs of the Shorians: Tengrianism, shamanism and traditional Shorian costumes.

The history and collection of the Lykov Old Believers. The gifts of Agafya Lykova, the last living hermit of the Lykov family, living on the border of Gornaya Shoria and Khakassia.

A walk to one of the wonders of Kuzbass, the Golden Shoria monument by the world-renowned sculptor Dasha Namdakov. The mighty moose is the mythical ancestor of the inhabitants of the deep taiga - the Shorians. On the spreading horns are the magical signs of ancient cultures. 

Transfer to the resort of Sheregesh, lunch. 

Sightseeing tour with ascent to the top of Mount Zelenaya by cable car, height 1270m.

We will learn the story of the Sheregeshev brothers, who showed Russian geologists the iron stones of Shoria at the beginning of the XX century, and gave the name to the main mountain resort of Siberia. 

From afar, among the taiga thicket, we will see the famous Camels - granite bastions of incredible shape, whose age exceeds 350 million years. We go down to Sector E to visit the Siberian huskies in the Siberian Trail kennel.

In your free time, you can for an additional fee: relax in the Japanese furako sauna on the shore of a mountain lake, get mirror trout, which you will bake right here, climb a balloon to see the taiga sea from a bird's-eye view, learn to drive an ATV or race along the downhill track on a mountain bike, try yourself in a rope park.

Return to the train. 

Program 2.

Shor National Park.

For lovers of protected travel. 

After breakfast, we will go to the Shor National Park to the very south of the Mountain Shoria, to the real age-old taiga. Stop at the Tengrian temple. 

The taiga magic of the mysterious Mountain Shoria: there are more rivers than roads, and the wild mysterious taiga is at arm's length, without fuss and mobile communication, we travel along the waterways of Shoria by catamarans or motorboats.

Pyzas is called Mras-Su in miniature: rocks and scree, mysterious grottoes, majestic cedars and thickets of medicinal badan. 

In good weather, the water warms up to a comfortable bathing temperature. 

Lunch is a taiga lagman on fire. 

The boat trip ends in the village of Ust-Kabyrza. Karchit Castle. 

At the Trehrechye Museum, we will learn about the ancient trade routes in the steppe of Khakassia and the Altai Mountains, touch the tragic story of ShoRlag lost in the taiga and go up the MrasSa River by motorboats. 

We are trying to climb on poles against the current - this is how overseas merchants and shore hunters once "walked" along the ancient trade route. 

We will see the cardoons of the Shorsky National Park, observe and photograph rare birds, animals – most often wild ducks and kites, if we are lucky, we will see a heron, the symbol of the Shorsky national Park – a black stork, or maybe we will meet cormorants, mink or roe deer. 

And all around is the mesmerizing pristine beauty of the protected Shoria. 

The water tour ends in the village of Ust-Kabyrza And we all return to civilization together.

Transfer to the train.

The last night before returning to the beginning. 

Our little cruise is coming to an end. 

Arrival in Novosibirsk at 8:00.
