In four days, this tour will take you through all the facets of Siberia: from the grandeur of its modern capital and the amazing world of one of Russia's largest zoos to the silence of ancient villages. You will get acquainted with the city of millions, appreciate the stunning landscapes of the Salair Ridge, named "Siberian Switzerland", and take a look into the rich industrial past of the region.

You will feel like a real prospector when you descend into a century-old golden tunnel, discover the secrets of Siberian coin minting and become a spectator of a unique gastronomic show where dishes from taiga game and wild plants set the tone.

Day 1 - Sightseeing tour of Novosibirsk. Novosibirsk Zoo
Arrival in Novosibirsk.

Sightseeing tour of Novosibirsk. Novosibirsk is located on the Priobsky plateau next to the reservoir, and the emergence of the first Russian settlement on the territory of the modern city dates back to the last decade of the 17th century.
Novosibirsk received its current name in 1926. Today it is the cultural, scientific, transport, industrial, business and trade center of Siberia.
During the city tour, we will see the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Opera House, Novosibirsk Main Railway Station and other significant sights of the city.
Lunch.
Excursion to Novosibirsk Zoo named after R. A. Shilo. Novosibirsk Zoo is one of the largest zoos in Russia. The zoo covers an area of 65 hectares, home to eleven thousand individuals of 770 species.
Many of them are listed in the International Red Book, the Red Book of Russia and regional Red Books, and an international breeding book is kept for 110 species.
In the Novosibirsk Zoo you can meet a giant flying squirrel, Altai horse, llama, camel, lemur, loris, kangaroo, snow fox, ostrich and other representatives of the animal world.
Return to the hotel.
Day 2 - The village of Yegoryevskoye. Gold Mining Museum
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the village of Yegoryevskoye, Maslyaninsky district.
Siberia is not only about valuable fur, frost and dumplings, but also about gold. We are going to go for the golden treasures of the Salair ridge, to an ancient village where solar metal has been mined for more than two hundred years.
We will visit the gold mining museum, learn the history of the rare fishery and the village of Yegoryevskoye as a whole, go down into the tunnel to feel like real prospectors.
Lunch (extra charge).
Excursion to the prospector's estate. The wooden hut recreates in great detail the way of life of the people who were the first to mine gold here.
In addition to the hut, we will see a horse shelter, a black bathhouse, a barn, unique antiques, tools and photographs.
A walk through the "golden village of Siberia", in which, until the nineties, the gold mining group worked under the "secret" label, since the Egoriev gold was of the highest quality. Metal mining continues here today, but in an open-source way. You will find out why in Yegoryevsky.
Return to the hotel.

Day 3 - Excursion to Suzun village

Transfer to the village of Suzun.
A walk through Suzun. Suzun is a part of the industrial and factory history of Siberia.
Suzun is a quiet and cozy village. In addition to the "factory monuments-museums", there are also truly historical sites: a parish school, a factory pond, and several good-quality Siberian houses of the 19th century.
Visit to the Museum and tourist complex "Suzun-zavod. The Mint."
The Nizhne-Suzun Copper Smelter and mint were built in the ancient village of Suzun in 1764. The Suzun Copper Smelter was a complex mining and metallurgical combine that smelted silver, lead, copper, and zinc.
Excursion to the museum of the Copper Smelter. The museum is located in the renovated premises of one of the workshops of the Suzun copper smelter of the XVIII century.
The central exhibits of the museum are the reconstruction of the smelting furnace "Speisofen", a working model of one of the factory machines — "Crowd for garbage" and a large-scale model of Suzun at the end of the XVIII century.
Mint Museum tour. The museum's exposition presents the process of making coins from cutting the billet to applying the relief image to the coin circle, and the Coin Storeroom displays a rich numismatic collection from the museum's funds.
Lunch.
Excursion to the museum of the House and office of the manager.
The premises of the office of mining engineer and famous writer of the 19th century A. Cherkasov have been recreated here: a living room, a study and a kitchen with samples of wooden furniture produced in Suzun.
Excursion to the museum of the Siberian folk icon. The museum is dedicated to the icons of folk artists, and directly to the representatives of the Suzun icon painting workshop. It is located in a monument building of regional significance "The building of the parish school" built in the XIX century.
Return to Novosibirsk.
Day 4 - The program "Ten Tastes of Siberia" at Russia's first gastronomic theater Puppenhaus

The bright program "Ten Tastes of Siberia" at the first Russian gastronomic theater Puppenhaus, winner of the Palme d'Or in Moscow for the best restaurant concept and the European Palme d'Or (Basel, Switzerland).
A unique opportunity to try specialties from northern fish, taiga game and wild plants, as well as tinctures of our own production on Siberian berries and herbs.
Russian russians tour the interiors of the gastrotheater, assembled from unique world-class collections: antique Russian furniture, Soviet and Russian porcelain, original paintings by the Siberian impressionist Leonid Ivanov, whose works participated in Sotheby's auctions.
As well as a collection of real antique theatrical puppets from all over the world, numbering about 500 exhibits, the oldest of which is more than 300 years old.
Walking tour to Sbitnevar's House.
Let's continue our delicious acquaintance with Siberia in the Sibirskaya Volya bakery. Guests will enjoy a tasting program with Siberian sbitni and gingerbread. The program is accompanied by a story about the history of brewing, about various herbs and an interactive gingerbread.
We will grind Thursday's salt in a mortar and taste it. A pleasant surprise awaits everyone at the end of the program.
Return to the hotel for your belongings.

I'm so glad I chose the 'Across the Expanses of Perm the Great' tour in July 2024. It was a high-quality, engaging, and thoughtfully designed journey through the entire Perm region. The trip was full of fascinating discoveries: ancient monasteries, unique museums, the distinctive Permian animal style and wooden deities, the history of salt production and the Stroganovs in the Urals, and much more. The natural beauty of Parma was breathtaking: dense forests, countless rivers, mountains, and even an ice cave. The hotels were comfortable, and the breakfasts and lunches were tasty, often featuring elements of local cuisine. Traveling in a small group made the experience even more enjoyable, after all, it's usually seasoned travelers who venture to the Perm region. One special moment was when we all got to bake and taste traditional gingerbread made from an old recipe, for many of us, it was a first.
