Trekking in Sochi. Holidays in the subtropics

All our hiking trips in Sochi starts from the city Adler. 

We get on the transport and go to the mountains!

On the eastern slope of the mountain Akhun is a unique yew-boxwood grove. 

Relict, pre-glacial forests, ferns and lianas have been preserved here in their original form. 

The age of these plants is from 400 to 2000 years! 

For the first time we will see an amazing, shaggy boxwood in the grove.

Hiking trip to Sochi passes through a stone labyrinth fault, past the ruins of an ancient fortress and leads to a mountain river. 

Here, the picturesque Devil's Gate Canyon was formed from snow-white rock, along which the emerald Khosta river runs.

Hiking in the mountains of Sochi is impossible to imagine without visiting this gorge! 

Welcome to the world of humid subtropics! 

Fabulous boxwood, wild vines, tall trees entwined with ivy – all this is Navalishenskoe gorge.

Wooden ladders will take us to the very bottom of the canyon, where the Bolshaya Khosta River runs.

Thousands of years ago, the earth's crust fractured here, and now we can observe the incredible bends of the gorge! 

The dark emerald river creates a vivid contrast with the snow-white rock. 

Hiking in Sochi along this route goes along the river, past rubble, natural baths and small waterfalls.

Our waterfowl tourists, take swimsuits! We will show you a BACKWATER where you will definitely want to swim =)).

Sochi National Park is not only a great place for mountain hikes in Sochi, but also a real treasure trove of waterfalls The Caucasus!

We'll see todayOrekhovsky waterfall, which is located on the river Crazy. 

This waterfall boasts that it is one of the highest waterfalls in the world. The National Park has a height of 27 meters. 

A long and deep staircase of many steps leads to the waterfall, but it's worth it!

The Azek Ecopark is located nearby. 

Hike to The trip to Sochi is one of the longest in the program of our tour. 

A comfortable path leads along the river Sochi is a real rainforest. 

Moss grows on the right and left, ferns, ivy twists through the trees. 

The shaggy boxwood, an evergreen inhabitant of the local forests, adds a special fabulousness to these places.

On May holidays, stunning purple rhododendrons bloom in this gorge.

The path descends to the river, runs over rocks, jumps through trees and soon leads to a waterfall. 

You can make movies in this place! 

The dark walls of the gorge rise smoothly up, and long ivy swings on them like vines. 

Somewhere far away, a piece of sky and a suspended wooden bridge are visible. 

The emerald Azek waterfall adorns this magnificent picture. 

It is especially full-flowing on May holidays!

Krasnaya Polyana is a dream resort that has grown before our eyes in just a few years. 

Hiking in Sochi and Krasnaya Polyana in autumn and May is incredibly popular!

In winter, it is a paradise for skiers, and in summer Krasnaya Polyana will give its tourists extraordinary, panoramic views. 

We quickly climb up by cable car to the observation decks of the largest and most beloved by skiers of the Rosa Khutor complex. 

Here we are already above the clouds =))). Around us are the mountain ranges of Aibga, Psekhako and the Main Caucasian Ridge. 

And in the distance – the Black Sea!

Active part: 4.5 km, cable car ascent at the resort Red A clearing at a height of 2500 m, duration 6-7 hours.

The Zmeykovsky waterfalls are located on the Savage River. 

The entire route passes through a beech forest, where relict plants grow – laurel, boxwood, Colchis ivy. 

Hiking in Sochi and the Caucasus provides an opportunity to get acquainted with the amazing plants of the subtropics.

Today we will see five Snake waterfalls with a height of three to ten meters! 

There are waterfalls in the form of whirlpools, double waterfalls. 

But the most interesting is the big cascading waterfall. 

Like white kites, streams of water easily run down the huge stone steps.

The active part of the route: 3.6 km, elevation difference 140-230 m, route duration 1.5-2 hours.

Then trekking in Sochi takes us to the Agura Gorge. 

We all know that Sochi and the Caucasus are the land of legends. 

One of them is very close! 

After all, it was in these places that Prometheus was chained to the rock, who brought fire to people. 

Climbing the Eagle Cliffs, we will see a bronze statue of this titan.

We descend from the sky-high altitude and get into the shady gorge of the Agura River. 

We are gradually getting used to the magnificent landscapes of Sochi: as it should be, there is a magnificent forest around, steep cliffs. 

The emerald river Agura gives birth to waterfalls and decorates its gorge with inviting natural fonts. 

Of course, we will not resist and we will swim here.

And photographers will be happy to shoot "silk water" at the beautiful Agura waterfalls!

Active part: 9.7 km, altitude difference 35-380 m, duration 4-5 hours.

The Southern Cultures Park is one of the favorite vacation spots of Sochi residents. 

The arboretum has hundreds of exotic plants brought here from China, Japan and even from Africa. 

Himalayan cedars, magnolias, palm trees, tulip trees and a whole grove of evergreen bamboo grow here.

Decorative ponds with elegant bridges and islets perfectly complement the landscape design of Sochi Park. 

It's a pleasure to walk here!

The active part of trekking in May and autumn: 13.5 km, the duration of the hike is 5-6 hours.

16:00 – arrival in Adler (airport, railway station), departure home.

Return tickets should be purchased for trains/planes that depart after 17:00.
