During our trip, we plan to visit many amazing places:
Prince Karl Land is the westernmost island in the Svalbard archipelago.
The entire island and the surrounding marine area are part of the Forlandet National Park.
The island was discovered by the Dutch navigator and explorer Willem Barents in 1596.
This narrow strip of land is covered by a magnificent and snow-covered mountain range.
The island is also home to many species of birds and seals.
Danish Island is one of the islands of the Svalbard archipelago, located near the Magdalenfjord.
Like many other islands of Svalbard, the Danish island is not inhabited by people.
The island is famous for the fact that in 1897 it became the starting point for an expedition to the North Pole in a balloon, led by the Swedish polar explorer Andre.
Fjords.
Svalbard offers the visitor countless picturesque fjords.
During our trip, we will explore some of them, such as: Lifdeffjord, which means "fjord of love", lying next to the snow-capped mountain peaks, and here we hope to cruise along the impressive glacier of Monaco.
Many rare species of geese nest in this area.
In the Crossfjord, we will find ourselves in front of a beautiful glacier on July 14, and we will be greeted by a large number of sea lions and kaira that nest on nearby rocks.
The Raudfjord is an area that attracts with its stunning natural beauty – the beautiful glaciers that prevail here.
The Ny-Aalesund Science Village is located in Kongsfjord.
It was from here that Amundsen and Nobile began their heroic expeditions to the North Pole.
North of Svalbard.
In the north of Svalbard, we will find ourselves in the edge of the ice.
Not many ships can enter these places and we will be able to admire the majestic icy landscape in silence.
Passing by the ice floes, we will have excellent chances to meet with polar bears.
Southwestern Svalbard.
The great Hornsund Fjord will give us spectacular views of glaciers and towering mountain peaks that often reach the clouds.
On a clear sunny day, you can see the top of the highest mountain – Horsundind (1,431 meters).
Hornsund is a favorite place for polar bears.
