Itinerary

Day 1 - Boarding the train
Independent boarding of a tourist train (carriage numbers, seats will be indicated in the voucher) according to the original documents (passports, birth certificates for children under 14 years old).

Day 2 - Kazan and Sviyazhsk
Breakfast on the train.
08:23 Arrival of the tourist train at the railway station. Sviyazhsk, meeting with the guide on the platform, boarding the bus (the bus number is indicated on the voucher).
Transfer to Sviyazhsk island.
Excursion to the island-city of Sviyazhsk. "An island lies on the sea, a hail stands on the island" – as if from the pages of Pushkin's fairy tales, from oblivion, by the will of the Terrible Tsar Ivan, a whole city grew up on a wild island in one month!
You will learn the fantastic history of the city of Sviyazhsk by going with us to this unique historical and architectural object.
During the tour you will see:
the only wooden Trinity Church in the Volga region, founded by order of Ivan IV the Terrible (built in 1551);
St. Nicholas Church built in 1556;
The Assumption Cathedral, built in 1560 (external inspection), which is undergoing the restoration of unique frescoes, including the rarest image of St. Christopher with a horse's head.
Transfer by bus to Kazan.

Walking tour to the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, the living heart of the ancient city, which has experienced more than one exciting event in its centuries–old history!
Founded as a Bulgarian fortress at the turn of the 10th and 11th centuries, it has changed its appearance more than once along with its mighty lords and today it is a unique complex of architectural, archaeological and historical monuments that reveal the centuries-old history of the city.
On the territory of the museum-reserve, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
You will see:
Kul Sharif Mosque and Annunciation Cathedral;
the Spasskaya Tower, built by Postnik Yakovlev and Ivan Shiryai, builders of St. Basil's Cathedral;
The Presidential Palace and the leaning Tower of Suyumbike.
Bus and walking tour of Kazan with a visit to the Kazan Kremlin (tour time ~ 3 hours). We invite you to take a bus and walking tour of the most interesting sights of Kazan, which will show you Kazan from all sides.
You will see ancient streets where every stone has its own story, and a modern metropolis living in the frenzied rhythm of the capital.
You will visit:
in Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda, located on the picturesque lake embankment. Kaban, where the houses of Tatar merchants and mosques of the XVIII century have been preserved.;
on the streets of old Kazan, with its cathedrals, monasteries and temples that miraculously survived during the Soviet years (with a visit to the monastery where the miraculous list of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God is kept);
Freedom Square is the administrative heart of Tatarstan, where the City Hall (the former Noble Assembly), the M. Jalil Opera and Ballet Theater, the S. Saidashev Concert Hall, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, etc. are located.
You will see:
The Palace of Farmers on the Palace Square and the new embankment (panoramic view);
sports facilities built for the Universiade 2013 (panoramic view).
Dinner with a demonstration of "Secrets of Tatar cuisine". The chef of the restaurant will demonstrate the technique of cooking national dishes and teach you how to cook them at home.
Free time for independent walks, visiting cafes and souvenir shops.
Transfer to the railway station.

Day 3 - Yoshkar-Ola

Sightseeing bus and walking tour of Yoshkar-Ola. During the sightseeing tour, you will get to know the only city in Russia with the letter "Y", see an eclectic mix of diverse styles and eras, stroll through the most beautiful squares and streets, take photos against the backdrop of the Bruges embankment.
You will also visit the youngest Kremlin in Russia, make a wish for Yoshka the Cat, a favorite of tourists, and see a dynamic sculpture.: "The Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem," which has no analogues in Russia.
Visit the Yoshkin Kota Gastromuseum with the program "Gifts of the reserved Mari El", during which you will taste all the best things that the Mari land is famous for: local cheeses, sausage and meat products, Mari honey, the legendary Ivan tea.
Lunch with Mari yogurt and local tinctures.
Podkogol is called the younger brother of Russian dumplings and one of the gastrobrands of Mari El. Traditional podkogol (translated as "boiled pie") was not molded, but woven from rye flour. The filling could be any: meat, cottage cheese, mushrooms, cabbage or wild berries.
Interactive musical program at the M. Shketan National Drama Theater. Professional artists will present a program where you will hear Mari national instruments.
You will hear "shuvyr" bagpipes, "kyusle" psaltery, "tyumor" drum, folk songs, learn how to dance the Mari "drobushka", spin around with the artists in the Mari dance hall.
Visit to the National Art Gallery. A modern exhibition featuring the best works of the republic's museums, where you will learn a lot about the art and culture of the Mari people and the region. From the first minute you will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of mystery.
Light projections and original installations of the house, hearth, sacred grove are accompanied by the sounds of a crying child, the noise of the forest. All this provides an opportunity to experience the traditional culture of the Mari people and become a participant in it.
Free time in the city center for independent walking and souvenir shopping.
Dinner at a cafe in the city.
Transfer to the railway station.

It's important to know

Additional medical insurance is not included in the price of the tour. If desired, you can apply for insurance on the website of a Large Country without commission directly from insurance companies.

It is impossible to know in advance whether passengers can board and disembark at non-fixed stops, upon arrival at which the tour service is provided (there may be parking on the train, but boarding/disembarking may not be allowed. There are various reasons for this. For example, the length of the platform does not allow, the train is on the sidings, and there is basically no platform.). The tour operator is not responsible for boarding and disembarking passengers when the train stops without sightseeing services.
Tourists can join the tourist route at any part of it, where there is a train parking with an excursion day service. But without recalculating the cost of the tour in terms of railway transportation. Since a cruise train ticket is issued from the start point of the tour to the end point of the tour, there will be no recalculation of the cost of railway travel in this case. For sightseeing days when tourists will not be present on excursions, we will recalculate the cost.
In a 4-seater compartment for two people, top+bottom accommodation is provided. Placement on the two lower shelves is possible only in a 2-seater compartment or a ST.
The purchase of the fourth seat in the compartment is optional, accommodation with check-in is possible.
Tours on the territory of the Russian Federation do not imply the presence of a notarized consent from one of the parents / legal representative for the child's trip accompanied by a third party. However, we recommend a handwritten consent from one of the parents / legal representatives to make a decision if medical care is needed for the child + a copy of the first page and the page with the registration of the parent / legal representative giving the handwritten consent.
Smoking is prohibited on the train (both electronic and plain cigarettes; a fine of 1,500 to 2,500 rubles). You can smoke in the train parking lots, if possible, get off the train in smoking areas specially designated on the platforms.
The tour operator issues railway tickets at a tariff without carrying animals (for group railway transportation of tourists, this tariff is not possible for registration). In addition, it is not allowed to enter the tour bus with animals (there may be allergies in the group). Pets are also not allowed to enter the museums.
