Day 1 - Departure to Suzdal. Participation in the Cucumber Festival
07:00 Gathering of the group in Moscow, VDNKh metro station, parking lot to the right of the Kosmos Hotel.
07:15 Departure by bus to Suzdal.
You may ask, why is Cucumber Day the main event of the summer? Why is it absolutely necessary to become a participant in it?

a holiday that welcomes more than 10,000 guests annually;
signature recipes that are several hundred years old;
festive action against the background of ancient huts, mills, churches;
master classes, folk festivals at animation venues.

The Cucumber Festival in Suzdal is held annually on the second or third Saturday of July, during the active harvest period. And this is no coincidence – from time immemorial, agriculture and horticulture have been one of the main occupations for the inhabitants of Suzdal and the fertile Suzdal region.

Day 2 - Suzdal and Vladimir Sightseeing Tour

Car and walking tour of Suzdal with a visit to the territory of the Suzdal Kremlin.
Suzdal is not only Cucumber Day, it is primarily a museum city with about 200 historical monuments, many of which have UNESCO World Heritage status.
Suzdal is good at any time of the year, in any weather. You can talk about Suzdal, Suzdal history and architecture, legends and epics, and, of course, the Suzdal people themselves around the clock.
Sightseeing of the architectural ensemble of the main attraction of Suzdal – the Suzdal Kremlin, the oldest building in the city, which has absorbed its entire history since Vladimir Monomakh.
According to archaeologists, the Kremlin in Suzdal was built as early as the 10th century, despite this, all its main buildings have survived to this day, with the exception of perhaps protective walls and towers.
The Pokrovsky Monastery (from the observation deck) is a women's monastery that holds many secrets. In the 16th century, it served as a place of exile for disgraced tsars and women of noble boyar families. Ostracized from secular society, bored by their husbands, deprived of wealth and privileges, they lived out their days behind stone monastery walls.

Sightseeing tour of Vladimir, one of the few cities of the Golden Ring, where architectural monuments from before the Mongol–Tatar conquest have been preserved:
St. Dmitrievsky Cathedral;
Golden Gate;
and the masterpiece of white stone architecture is the Assumption Cathedral.
But the best way to understand the spirit of the city and feel its culture is to walk along the old city streets.
The pedestrian Georgievskaya Street in Vladimir, which is affectionately called "Vladimirsky Arbat", is no exception. It is located in its historical center.
The pedestrian zone is small, just over 300 meters, and has collected many interesting architectural monuments... a monument to a pharmacist, a customs booth, a monument to a Scientist cat, a monument to a cherry tree, and many others.
And each of them has its own legend and story!

The tourist complex "Suzdal" is located in the picturesque areas of the city of the same name, near the Kamenka River. The distance from Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod is about 250 kilometers. Here you will find excellent service, a restaurant, a swimming pool and many services for every taste.

Spacious rooms are prepared for check-in, located in a historic building that was filmed in the movie "Wizards". Cozy tanhouses with beautiful views of the coastal area are also available for accommodation.

Guests can visit the on-site restaurants. A summer cafe and a bar with a variety of drinks also open their doors. A buffet breakfast is served in the morning.

The Knyazhy Dvor Hotel is located on the outskirts of Suzdal.

Many thanks to “Big Country” for this wonderful tour. The entire trip was organized exceptionally well: the hotels, meals, and transportation were all excellent. But the real highlight of the journey was our tour guide, Denis!!! Honestly, without him the trip would not have been nearly as memorable. Visiting so many churches and historical sites without meaningful context would have quickly become monotonous. Most of the local guides simply rushed through the program with dry facts and dates, almost like a school lecture. Denis, however, made everything come alive. Even before we arrived at each destination, he was already sharing fascinating stories and background information on the bus, which helped us appreciate the places so much more once we got there. Not a single person was late for the bus in the mornings! Everyone was eager not to miss his stories!!! He has an incredible knowledge of the history and geography of the region, and he could make even the scenery outside the window interesting!!! Listening to him never felt tiring because he spoke with such enthusiasm and passion!!! For the last two days we had a different guide, and the contrast was huge - unfortunately, it just wasn’t engaging at all. To sum it up: excellent organization, comfortable travel conditions, and an outstanding guide like Denis made this trip truly special!!! I only wish there were more professionals like him.

I really enjoyed the trip. I learned a lot more about my country and its history, and visited many historic cities and monasteries. It’s an experience I will remember for a long time.
