The bell tower and the winter temple of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God stand on the very bank of the Volga. And both in the XVII century and now, this complex shows a style of decoration, construction and decoration characteristic only for Yaroslavl. Departure to Left-bank Tutaev (43 km).

Tutaev is not one, but two cities separated by the Volga. Tutaev left–bank and Tutaev right-bank are two big differences. The Volga River, which divided the city into two parts, became the border between the merchant, pre–revolutionary, frozen in the XIX century city on one side and the industrial, workers', Soviet city on the other. The difference is felt in everything: in the architecture of buildings, in the layout of streets, even in the behavior and lifestyle of residents.

10:00 Walk along Kustodievsky Boulevard. The territory of the Volga embankment was named Kustodievsky Boulevard, named after the artist Boris Mikhailovich Kustodiev, who visited our city and glorified the Volga city in his paintings. 

10:30 Visit to the Museum "Revived stories".

11:00 Visit to the Intercession Church and the icon of the "Addition of the Mind" – the ascetic Intercession Church pleases the eye with its simplicity, reliability and thoroughness. It is contrasted with a tall tent-roofed bell tower decorated with muralized tiles. 

11:30 Departure to Rybinsk (57 km).

Rybinsk is a city of Aristocrats. 

Rybinsk is a vibrant and tenacious city. Here you have a reservoir, shipbuilding, hydroelectric power plants and fishing. Local merchants and entrepreneurs built most of the historical buildings and created museums with their own money. It was here that boatmen lived, not as slaves and sufferers are commonly thought, but the elite of the workforce.

12:30 Walk through the museum of a Living Ancient Sign in the open air – in 2017, the revival of an ancient sign of the 19th century in the historical center of Rybinsk. In a year and a half, more than 30 old-style signage appeared in the city. All the signs in Kuznetsov's project are not props, but real, working objects.

14:30 Visit to the Rybinsk Museum of Admiral F.F. Ushakov. Admiral Fyodor Ushakov's life path is inextricably linked with the Rybinsk land. It was here, in the town of Hopylevo, that the future naval commander was baptized in the local church of the Epiphany on the Island.

Pereslavl Zalessky is a guardian city under sail. 

The great Alexander Nevsky was born here. The Russian Navy was also born here. Peter the Great built his first funny flotilla on Pleshcheyev Lake. What inspired future great generals and statesmen in this city?

11:00-12:00 Sightseeing tour of the city with a walk along the Red Square, where the oldest city church, the Transfiguration Cathedral, is located. Once upon a time, decrees were announced in this historical place, the Pereslavl princes were "put on the table" and shelves were assembled.

12:00 Excursion to the Ryapushka Kingdom Museum.

The museum tells the story of the unique Grouse fish, which adorns the coat of arms of the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky.

During the tour, you can find out why the grouse is called "royal herring", as well as how it was extracted, how it was salted and harvested for the future. 

13:00 Visit to the Peter I Boat Estate Museum – the museum will tell about Peter's life when he organized his Funny Flotilla as a boy. In 1802, the Fortuna boat was discovered, the only surviving vessel from the entire flotilla, and one of the first provincial museums in Russia, the Botny House, was opened.

14:20-15:20 We are going to Rostov Veliky (67 km), one of the first Russian cities, which, according to legend, was founded by Rurik himself, and it was also the walls of the Rostov Kremlin that became participants in the film "Ivan Vasilyevich changes his profession."

Rostov became the first residence of Yaroslav the Wise, who sailed further down the river to the Volga River and Kotorosli, where he founded Yaroslavl. Lake Nero, on which Rostov stands, is as old as the world.
