Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Welcome to the Far North, to the hero city of Murmansk!

    Arrival in Murmansk

    We recommend arriving in Murmansk before 16:00 on the first day so that you can check into the hotel, relax and leave your things.

    The transfer is not included in the price of the tour. You get to Murmansk on your own. Yandex taxi services operate in the region.

    Welcome Arctic dinner at a restaurant in the center of Murmansk. Included in the price of the tour. We will try the Arctic cuisine and get to know the team.

    If the forecast is favorable, go on a tour to hunt for the northern lights. The duration of the tour is 3-5 hours. Photography is included in the price of the tour. 

    The tour program includes 2 trips to hunt for the northern lights without additional charges, which significantly increases our chances of catching it!

    The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and no one can guarantee its appearance. If we do not see the northern Lights during hunting trips, then there are no discounts and refunds.

    How the Northern Lights tour is going:

    1. The gathering of tourists takes place in the parking lot at the entrance to the Azimut hotel (in the center of Murmansk). Approximate time of the training camp: 20:00-22:00. The exact time and place of the training camp will be announced by the coordinator the day before.
    2. Let's go on tour! The duration of the hunt is 3-5 hours, depending on how quickly we find a clear sky. The northern lights themselves can appear at any moment!
    3. Photography is included in the price of the tour. First, we will take group photos, then individual ones on a first-come, first-served basis.
    4. To keep warm, you will be offered hot tea with light snacks (sweets, chocolate, cookies).
    5. After this tour, you will be taken to your place of residence in Murmansk. 
    6. You will receive photos within 3-4 days after the end of the tour in the format of the references to Google Drive, Yandex Disk or other cloud storage.

The tour is suitable for most tourists. Moderate exercise (minimal physical training is desirable), the tour may include hiking routes for 30 minutes or more.

Trekking tour to the Lovozero tundra requires minimal physical training. If you have physical activity restrictions and other nuances, then be sure to warn the booking department manager about this before making an advance payment.

    This year, I finally fulfilled a dream of visiting the Arctic Circle! A friend and I chose a summer trip to the North: 'Whales, Teriberka and Waterfalls.' We booked through the tour operator 'Big Country' and were really pleased with the experience. In just four days, we collected so many incredible memories: we saw stunning waterfalls, learned fascinating facts about the unique tundra landscape, went on a whale-watching boat ride, took amazing photos at Dragon Egg Beach, visited an indigenous Sami house and enjoyed delicious traditional dishes. We were thrilled with the trip! Special thanks to our guide Victor, who shared so many interesting stories, answered all our questions and led the tour with real passion! We stayed at the Azimut Hotel, which was great. Everything was well-organized with no issues at all—I loved it all!
