Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival in Murmansk. Getting to know the capital of the Arctic. Transfer to Teriberka

Our exciting summer adventure begins in Murmansk.

Hospitable hosts feed their guests first, and we are no exception. We'll start with a delicious lunch of Arctic cuisine, and only then we'll go explore the city.

The hero city of Murmansk is the heart of the Russian Arctic. The city has many epithets with the word "the most" — let's tell you what makes it so special.

You will learn what the city has been through over the past hundred years, and see how the port life has shaped the special culture of Murmansk.

Among the locations that you will visit and see: the monument to the Defenders of the Soviet Arctic "Alyosha" on the Green Cape hill. By the way, the city is in full view from here, you will definitely find a couple of atmospheric camera angles for your photos.

We will finish the eventful day by moving to Teriberka.

The road to the ocean is already an adventure! The trip will take about 2.5 hours, and your guide will fill them with interesting stories about the region.

But it's not enough to hear, the Arctic needs to be seen and felt. Therefore, stops are provided in the most beautiful places along the route. You will step into the endless expanses of the northern tundra and enjoy its restrained, mysterious beauty.

Upon arrival in Teriberka, the whole group will gather for a welcome dinner at a wonderful restaurant, taste local delicacies and get to know each other better, and then go relax in comfortable cottages on the shores of the Barents Sea (when booking the comfort+ option)!

I’m absolutely delighted with “Big Country” and its team. True professionals work there. Thanks to your help, I’ve already visited Altai, Lake Baikal, North Ossetia, and the Russian North! Thank you for your amazing work. Working with people is never easy, but you always manage to find common ground with your clients and help resolve any issue that comes up. Keep up the great work!!!

It was a very interesting and eventful tour with plenty of great food experiences along the way. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate, so we weren’t able to see the Northern Lights or fully experience Teriberka, but the trip to Kirovsk turned out to be absolutely wonderful and full of memorable impressions. Our guide Olga was energetic, enthusiastic, and truly passionate about showing and telling us as much as possible! Overall, we definitely did not regret taking this trip.
