In the area from Borisoglebsk to Novokhopersk, the Hopper is a fairly wide river with a fairly fast current. Sandy beaches are often found, along the shores there is rich floodplain vegetation, and in the area of the reserve there is a beautiful deciduous forest. There are a lot of wildlife around, traces of wild animals are visible on the sand of the beaches.
