Cruise to Tiksi is a wonderful opportunity to explore Yakutia’s nature, history and indigenous peoples’ life conditions and traditions and also cross the Arctic Circle and visit the most northern settlement of Yakutia. Above all these the tour will have interesting entertainment onboard with different lectures on Yakutia’s history, different intellectual contests, disco nights with various performers.

Transfer from the airport starts at 8:00 am.
Checking-in on board of the motor vessel starts on 10:00 am.
After lunch you will have free time to walk in the city. We will depart at 7:00 pm.
We will visit Lena Pillars, a famous Russian national park listed as UNESCO World Heritage. We will participate in a national welcome ritual and climb to a viewing point listening to guide’s stories. We will take beautiful pictures and then rest at the river bank after such an eventful day.
We will walk to “Ust-Buotama” Buffalo Park. A local guide will tell us everything about local flora and fauna and share interesting facts about inhabitants of the park.
This will be a relaxed trip but we will hardly get bored – the day on board promises to be eventful. We will have lectures and watch films about Yakutia. Furthermore, you will be able to visit various mater classes.
We will start this day with ferrying, and then meet a local shaman (a real one, indeed!) who will perform an Evenki welcome ritual at the bank. After that we will walk to the centre of the settlement where indigenous villagers live by hunting and fishing. Furthermore, we will visit a folklore concert organized by grateful local villagers. You will be able to buy souvenirs and go to a small local history museum and an orthodox church.
We will move to a settlement located beyond the Polar Circle. We will walk to a local recreation centre and get an insight into local life. In the evening we will visit a folklore concert and an exhibition of souvenirs. You will also have an opportunity to walk over the city independently.
At long last we will arrive at the seaside of the Laptev Sea! Transfer by buses.
We will stop by the famous “Tiski” sign which is covered with snow for most of the year (but of course we will be lucky to see it!).
We will visit a welcome ceremony and a purification rite and set on an intriguing excursion named the “Southern Coastline of the Laptev Sea”. We will also watch a short film about Tiksi, listen to a welcoming speech and watch a performance.
A local guide will meet us as we arrive at the island. The guide will lead us to a real glacier and tell everything about it. After that we will try local shockfrozen fish.
We will spend the day on the board. The day promises to be eventful we will have lectures and watch films about Yakutia. Furthermore, you will be able to visit various mater classes.
We will stop by the “POLAR CIRCLE” sign. You will have free time to walk at the seaside, go fishing or try local fish soup.
Leisure time and entertainment on board.
Green stop. You will come ashore and have free time at the seaside to try shashlyk and sit by a parting Friendship Fire.
Transfer by buses and microbuses to “Druzhba” Historical and Architectural OpenAir Museum. We will walk over the museum with an attending guide. After that you will have enough time to visit souvenir shops and rest at the riverside.
