Itinerary

Day 1 - Taezhnik Tourist Complex
Check-in at the Taezhnik eco-hotel.
For those who have chosen Gorno-Altaysk, the capital of our Republic, as the arrival city, there is a meeting at the airport (group transfer, for an additional fee.you can order an individual fee, or use a taxi service).
Breakfast in the restaurant of the eco-hotel Taezhnik for those who arrive before 10:45.
Check-in in yurts located on the territory of the eco-hotel Taezhnik for 2-3 people, shower and toilet on site (single-bed accommodation in yurts is not provided).

Gathering of the group, including those who arrived after 11:00.
At 13:00 – lunch at the restaurant of the eco-hotel Taezhnik.
After lunch, a walking tour to Mount Cherepan, which is located above the eco-hotel and on the banks of the Katun River to the monument to Shishkov.
Rest, free time.
Dinner at the restaurant of the eco-hotel Taezhnik from 19:00 to 20:00.
After dinner, an evening of acquaintances around the campfire.

Day 2 - Transfer to the valley of the Chulyshman River
Early rise.
Departure from the territory of the eco-hotel Taezhnik at approximately 07:30 in the morning.
Breakfast at the cafe on the way.
Transfer to the village of Artybash, where the group transfers to a boat at the pier, which will take it first to the Korbu waterfall, where, in addition to the excursion, the group will have lunch, and then to the southern shore of Lake Teletskoye.
The lake is one of the main attractions of the Altai Mountains, and in size it is second only to Lake Baikal.
This is a beautiful reservoir stretching from south to north for 75 km.
Clouds are reflected in the clear waters of the lake, which almost always rush in the sky over the water surface.
By the way, a unique phenomenon can be observed over the lake – oncoming clouds floating in opposite directions in the sky above the lake.
This happens due to the winds blowing towards each other – verkhovka and nizovka.
On the way, an excursion to the Korbu waterfall, with lunch at a cafe.
The twelve-meter Korbu waterfall was formed as a result of the natural failure of the Korbu riverbed, originating from the mountain range of the same name.
Korbu Waterfall is not visible from the shore of the lake, but it is not long to walk to it - just a few minutes walk along the boardwalk and you can already hear the noise of water falling from a height, and almost immediately after that the waterfall itself appears before your eyes.
Opposite the Korbu waterfall is the deepest part of Lake Teletskoye – 323 m.
At Cape Kirsay, the group will transfer to a waiting bus and go to the campsite, where they will spend 2 nights.
Depending on the time of arrival (there may be a storm on the lake, which will delay the group), technical and weather conditions, the group can take an excursion to the Stone Mushrooms on this day.

Day 3 - Walking tour to the largest cascading waterfall Uchar
Breakfast in a cafe on the territory of the Beryozka shopping center, or a similar one.
A day of active recreation.
You will take a walking tour to the largest cascading waterfall in Altai – Chulchinsky (Uchar).
The length of the path to it is about 10 km., the same amount back.
For almost the entire route, the trail runs along the edge of a high cliff, at the bottom of which the wayward Chulcha River rushes furiously over the rocks.
The trail is difficult, it requires good physical fitness and sneakers with thick corrugated soles.
Tourists will have to overcome kurumniki, endless ascents and descents, crossing small rivers on shaky bridges and walk along a rocky ledge above a ravine.
However, the sight of Uchar is worth all these difficulties!
A huge mass of water is flying down with speed, crashing against giant rocks.
The noise is such that you can't hear a person standing next to you, there is water dust around.
The height of the total fall is more than 160 meters, it is the highest waterfall in Siberia.
Lunch in the field (tea, sandwiches, vegetables, fruits, sweets).
Return to the t/C.
Dinner in a cafe on the territory of the tourist complex, accommodation in tents.

If the Uchar trail is closed due to weather or technical conditions, the tour will be replaced by an excursion to the Kurkure and Maldanash waterfalls.

Day 4 - Excursion to the Pazyryk mounds. Katu-Yaryk Pass
Breakfast on the territory of the Beryozka shopping center or similar
If for some reason the group did not manage to get to the Stone Mushrooms on the day of arrival, then after breakfast, the tour is possible to visit them, provided that there are no objective obstacles to the tour.
The decision remains with the guide.
Transfer to Ulagan village via the Katu-Yaryk pass.
The ascent to the Katu-Yaryk pass is carried out on foot, according to safety regulations.
The height of the pass from the foot to the top is about 800 meters, the length is 3.5 km.
Then an excursion to the Pazyryk mounds – a chain of 5 mounds representing the graves of noble nomads and tribal leaders dating back to the 6th-7th centuries BC.
Lunch at the cafe with. Ulagan.
After lunch, the travelers continue their journey along the beautiful Ulagan highway, gradually climbing the Ulagan pass with a height of 2080 meters.
On the Ulagan highlands, which crosses the Ulagan tract, there are a great many lakes, some of which can be seen without leaving the road.

If there are available rooms in the Malina shopping center, they can be booked on the spot and paid on their own, on the spot (the room price starts from 2500 rubles).

Day 5 - Horseback riding to Sorolukel Lake

Loading of things and equipment into the UAZ, moving to the parking lot at the Ulagan pass.

Lunch in the form of a snack (sandwiches, tea, vegetables, sweets, canned food).
The journey time is 3-4 hours, most of the road passes through kedrach.
Here travelers can fully enjoy the unique purity of the mountain air combined with the pleasant aroma of the coniferous forest, which finally banishes thoughts of civilization from their heads.
Through forest clearings and dense thickets of bushes, the trail leads travelers to the mountain lake Beltir and further to the shore of Lake Sorolukel, where they will camp and spend the night.
Dinner is prepared by the guide over a campfire.
Overnight in tents on the lake shore.

Day 6 - A day's rest. Radial exit to the observation point of the Aigulak ridge
Breakfast is prepared by a guide over a campfire.
After breakfast, exit to the route.
Magnificent landscapes open from the top of the mountain: the Kurai steppe, the North Chui and South Chui ranges.Having risen to such a height, a person can feel like a bird soaring high above the ground.
From the top there is a panorama of the Chui squirrels – the peaks of the North Chui and South Chui ranges, covered with eternal snow.
In good weather, you can see almost all the highest peaks of these ranges: Aktra, Maashey-bashi, Iikta, etc., and of course enjoy the view of the largest glaciers in the region.
And when clouds are running in the sky, then climbing Kykashtu-Oyk, guests of Altai can touch them with their hand, feel like an inhabitant of other worlds, separated from the ordinary world of people by a veil of secrets.

Day 7 - The way back to the Altai-Erine parking lot. Ulagan pass. The Red Gate
Breakfast is prepared by a guide over a campfire.
In the morning, tourists will return on horseback to the parking lot at the Ulagan pass, where, after saying goodbye to the Altai horses and transferring to an all-terrain iron horse, travelers go on further adventures.
Along the way, the participants of the route will meet with such tour objects as the top of the Ulagan pass, the Red Gate and many lakes that are located on different sides of the Ulagan tract.
In the village of Aktash, the group goes to the Chuisky tract, here the group is waiting for lunch in a cafe.
After lunch, the group embarks on a further journey to the eco-hotel Taezhnik (rafting is offered in the full version of the tour, get acquainted with the extended tour by following the link in the description of the tour).

Day 8 - Departure

It's important to know

1. A backpack (up to 40 liters), a suitcase or a large travel bag, that is, something in which it is convenient to carry things to the base, special means are issued on the route for transporting things – an archimak (saddlebag) and a drive bag.
2. Hiking shoes, preferably boots, which can be leather, rubber, or birch, the main thing is that they do not get wet and cover the boot from rubbing against the stirrup strap (putlishche) or high boots.
3. Running shoes or trekking boots for radial exits. Avoid new shoes that are not worn out.
4. Replacement shoes for camping (slates).
5. Comfortable clothing for horse crossings and radial pedestrian crossings – sweatpants that do not restrict movement, made of lightweight quick-drying material, without rough internal seams, a shirt or a long-sleeve T-shirt. A windbreaker made of thick material. A suit for hunters or fishermen, or something similar, is suitable, the main thing is that it is comfortable and does not rustle.
6. A set of clothes for recreation in the camp – trousers, shirt, shorts, T-shirt.
7. A warm sweater.
8. A warm jacket (synthetic or down jacket).
9. A warm hat (fleece or wool).
10. Cap or panama hat.
11. Gloves (even simple cotton ones will do).
12. Socks – 2-3 pairs of cotton or linen, 2 pairs of wool.
13. A waterproof raincoat or suit that can withstand heavy rain. On the equestrian route, an UGC (Combined Arms Protective Kit) is issued to protect against rain – a long rubber raincoat with a hood.

16. Sunglasses that protect the eyes from ultraviolet rays in the mountains.

Advice from the tour organizers: to buy air tickets to the airport of Gorno-Altaysk (the capital of the Altai Republic) from the arrival time to 12:00 because delivery from the airport to the Taiga takes 25 minutes. Delivery from Barnaul (Altai Territory-neighboring region) to Taiga takes 4-5 hours.

Delivery from Novosibirsk in both directions is carried out on regular buses of the Novosibirsk bus station, tickets are purchased by tourists themselves. To make it to the beginning of the tour, you need to purchase a ticket for the Novosibirsk – Chemal flight, to the Manzherok village stop (get off before reaching 2.5 km to the village near the monument to Shishkov, or at the Taezhnik t\ k, which you ask the driver in advance) with a departure time from the bus station at 22:15 (from the bus station located near the railway train station – 22:45), departure date on the day preceding the start date of the tour. Tickets can be purchased 10 days before the day of departure, we can help you purchase this ticket, provided you pay its cost in advance.

The return trip is carried out by bus from Chemal-Novosibirsk, the departure time from Taezhnik t/c is 22:40 – 23:00, the bus must be stopped at Taezhnik t/c (Important! tickets must be purchased from Manzherok village to Barnaul/Novosibirsk, those who purchase tickets from the village of Manzherok receive a call from the bus station staff and specify where to pick them up. No one calls those who purchase tickets from the Chemal bus station, their tickets are automatically canceled if they are not on board).

The arrival time in Novosibirsk is 7:15, when purchasing tickets from Novosibirsk, you need to take this into account. The cost of delivery depends on the cost of flight tickets.

It is also possible to book seats on this route in a tourist bus departing every Thursday at 23:45 from the stop located next to the Marians Park Hotel, which is located opposite the Novosibirsk railway station.

Delivery from Barnaul:

Meeting at Barnaul airport (from 5:50 to 7:50 am), meeting at Barnaul railway station from 8:00 to 9:00 am. If you arrived in Barnaul in advance or live there, you will coordinate the meeting place with the driver, he will pick you up if he is on his way, if not, he will indicate the meeting place. The car leaves if the delivery group is assembled in full. The driver will have your contact phone numbers, along with information about the place and time of the meeting, the driver will contact you. Cars do NOT go on the route without meeting all tourists, provided that all planes arrive on time (the waiting time can be adjusted by 1 hour). If the plane is late for 1 hour or more, the formed cars are sent on the flight, your contact details are transferred to the driver of another car and the departure time depends on the set of the car.
