Altai is a reboot. Premium Horse Riding Tour

The instructors will wake you up for breakfast at 8 a.m.

Just a little information on nutrition: cooking will be carried out over a campfire, which will add a special atmosphere and taste qualities to our menu, which, by the way, consists of real hiking recipes passed on to us by hunters and true taiga hunters.

After breakfast– the gathering of archimaks, equipment and access to the equestrian route.

The equestrian trail will take you along forest roads, alpine meadows, and then for a while along a country road that will take the horseback riding group to a high-altitude taiga area overgrown with cedar forest.

We will stop here at the cedar glade until tomorrow.

While you rest, the instructors will unsaddle and let the horses graze, help you set up tents, organize a bonfire and hot food.

We will spend the evening talking around the campfire and interesting stories from instructors about everyday life and life in Altai.

~30 km / 5-6 hours.

Since the horse crossing will be insignificant today, you can sleep a little longer.

Then it's classic: breakfast, packing and getting on the route.

Today we mostly walk along forest trails, accompanied by the music of mountain streams and the whispers of the cedar taiga.

We arrive at the parking lot at about 15 o'clock, settle down and rest a little before lunch.

The place is very picturesque – you can walk around the neighborhood or just sit on the banks of the Uul River waiting for mountain dwarves or a water man.

After lunch, we will take a walking tour to the waterfall of the same name.

It is difficult to find a more hidden and little-visited place in Altai.

This handsome man is hiding among the stone scree just a fifteen-minute walk from the parking lot.

A unique place!

We have unlimited time to visit, the main thing is to return to the parking lot before dark.

In the evening, have dinner, relax and watch the starry sky.

We stay at our cozy parking lot in the Uul tract for another day, and we give the horses a day off.

We slowly wake up, have breakfast, listen to the silence, soak up the morning Altai sun and go for a walk.

Today we have to walk to Lake Veronica, located two kilometers from the parking lot.

We go light, but do not forget to take water with us.

About forty minutes along a mountain path surrounded by tundra birch, flowers of the catchment area, lights and we are at the bowl of a magnificent lake.

Veronica shines sky-blue and sapphire-green in the sunlight, and the grandeur of the mountains around is simply amazing!

The purpose of walking is to walk, absorb, exhale and inhale.

You have about an hour to do this, during which you can walk around the lake or just sit on the shore, because peace, quiet and tranquility live here!

Back at the parking lot, we have lunch and continue the day with archery practice.

Historically, archery was used in Altai for hunting and even fishing and is still a national tradition – no holiday takes place without this event.

Our mission is to introduce you to this special sport, and doing it in the wild mountains is a special pleasure for us and for you.

In the evening we will have a traditional dinner, bonfire.

And back on the road!

Today, the equestrian tour group has two passes and magnificent views of the Bayuk Lakes.

This is a chain of more than 15 lakes that hide or appear, depending on the dryness of the summer.

The equestrian trail runs in the immediate vicinity of the lakes, and you can fully enjoy the views.

We continue our journey through a high-altitude plateau, after which we "fall" into the Airyk valley, where we will stop for the night.

The evening can be described as sacred and esoteric: you will find stories about Altaic shamanism, nature spirits, and the universe, and this will be accompanied by learning how to play the national Altaic instrument, the komus.

There is an opinion that the vibrations produced when playing this ethnic instrument have a beneficial effect not only on physiology, but also "tune" the human energy, establish a balance.

Today we will have a light horse ride to the Surdinsky lakes.

They are distinguished by their location – the bowls of the lakes are spread out in a dense cedar forest, through which our equestrian trail will pass.

The lakes are warm enough and the bravest can swim, however, the approach to them is not very convenient, so be prepared to get out of the water with the legs of a "water".

It is important to note that on this day you are traveling without archimedes and experienced riders will be able to ride at a fast gait, if the ground and weather conditions allow.

Upon returning to the parking lot – a new experience.

We draw our impressions, emotions, or just what surrounds us!

Under the strict guidance of our talented instructor, we will learn what plein air is, how to cross the barrier from I can't to I want to, understand how to build a composition correctly, choose colors and breathe life into a drawing!

It's okay if you think you can't draw, you just don't know about it yet.

We will stay in the Moon Valley again to take a horse ride and see some more wonders of Altai.

The first point of today's equestrian tour program will be the Karakokshinskaya Cave, which is one of the most highly located and little—visited caves in Altai.

The cave consists of a huge grotto, which is especially good in the month of June, because there is still ice on the walls, lower halls and upper halls, which we will walk through.

Yes, you got it right – the cave has two floors!

The second item on the program of this day will be Lake Kara.

The uniqueness of this lake is not only in its beauty, its main difference from other lakes in Altai is the water temperature.

As much as 20 degrees is a luxury for a tourist!

If the weather is favorable, we will definitely swim!

So, after getting dirty enough in the cave, having cleansed ourselves in the waters of a mountain lake, we make a small picnic and set off towards home.

Yes, on the sixth day, the tent becomes a home!

We say goodbye to our beloved campsite in the Airyk valley, pack our bags, tents and set off to new heights!

Ahead of the participants of the equestrian tour is the Airyk pass with the lakes of the same name, which offers a magnificent view of the snow-capped peaks of the Ilozhe range, the Akkaya pass and Akkain lake, from which we can see the ridges of the Prikatun taiga, like an endless sea spreading to the horizon.

And finally, the Muihta log is the final point of today's journey.

We will stay here for two more days.

Although not the last, but perhaps the culminating day of our horseback riding in Altai.

We'll start the day by hiking to Muikhtinsky waterfall.

We are going to have a long hike down to the very bottom of the gorge, in which the waterfall is hidden.

The trail is very picturesque and full of surprises: if we keep quiet, we will certainly see the locals: chipmunks, haymakers, weasels, and maybe even deer!

The difficulties of descending and then climbing out of the gorge are more than offset by the beauty and atmosphere of the waterfall.

Just imagine: the silence, the roar of the purest water, is carried away somewhere in the distance, there is not a soul around, just you and the miracle of nature.

Upon returning from the waterfall, rest, which is so necessary after such an active physical activity, followed by lunch, and after that we invite you to consolidate your acquired skills in archery or painting.

We dedicate the evening to watching the most unique sight on the planet – we invite you to see a huge fiery ball drowning in a sea of mountains...Sunset!

Today, our equestrian team is moving towards one of the most beautiful lakes in Altai – Karakol!

About half an hour we go out to the Bagatash pass, where we are greeted by the rock remnants of the Castles of the Mountain Spirits.

We make a short stop to take some pictures accompanied by the instructor's stories about this significant place and get back on the road!

We cross the Bagatash pass and finally get to the Circus.

Yes, that's exactly the name of this place: at your feet, as if in a circus arena, there are some of the most beautiful lakes in Gorny Altai – the Karakol lakes.

Next, the trail of the equestrian tour takes us down the pass and full speed ahead to the already familiar parking lot on the Kylai mane.

The completion of the equestrian tour inspires hope and desire to return to the Altai Mountains more than once!

We are going to the equestrian base – Sortesh, which, by the way, translates from the Altai language as "Yellow clay".

Don't forget to say goodbye to the blooming fields and take a last look back to see the snow-capped peaks that we seem to have visited only yesterday.

The final evening.

Of course, there will be a sauna, barbecue and, of course, the participation of the group in the national custom of "Whose-whose", where everyone can share their emotions!

We leave the equestrian base at 7 a.m., 2 hours off-road, in order to be in the village by 9 and drink tea in our cozy headquarters or the national village.

Transfer to the airport or bus station in Gorno-Altaysk starts at 12.00.
