Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Gorno-Altaysk. The legendary Chuisky tract
After meeting and getting to know the guide, the group will embark on an exciting journey along the famous Chuisky highway.
Participants of the route will hear fascinating stories about the construction of this legendary road, which connects many cultural and natural attractions of the region.
The first stop will be at the Seminsky Pass, where tourists can stroll among the century-old cedars and enjoy the stunning views of the snow-capped peaks.
Then the route will continue through the Chike Taman pass, famous for its picturesque landscapes and steep ascents.
Travelers will make several stops here to capture these unforgettable moments on camera and in memory.
After the Chike-Taman pass, the group will continue along the picturesque valley of the Katun River.
Among the majestic cliffs of Maly Yaloman, tourists will find the magnificent bend of the Katun River, known as the "Katun Loop".
This place impresses with its beauty and is an ideal backdrop for memorable photos. One of these stops will be the Katun Terraces observation deck, a unique geological formation that has emerged as a result of centuries of erosion.
Tourists will get acquainted with the history of this natural phenomenon and will be able to admire its majestic forms.
No less impressive will be a walk to the mouth of the Chuya River, a sacred place for Altaians, where two large rivers of Gorny Altai meet.: Chuya and Katun.
The contrast of waters makes this place particularly picturesque: the Chuya River is less transparent than the Katun River, which creates a unique picture.
The final stage of the day will be arrival in the village of Aktash in Ulagan district.
Here the group will settle down for a rest to exchange their first impressions of the trip and prepare for the next day.
Impressions of the day: Seminsky pass; Chike-Taman pass; "Yalomanskaya Arc"; the place of power is the confluence of the Chuya and Katuni rivers; "Katun terraces"; old Chuisky tract; monument to Kolka Snegirev.

Day 2 - Space adventures
An incredible day of discoveries awaits our travelers today!
After breakfast, the group will go to the most secluded and mysterious place in the Altai Republic, where nature has created real exotic landscapes reminiscent of the picturesque landscapes of neighboring Mongolia.
The first stop of the day is in the majestic Kurai steppe, where tourists will find a breathtaking sight: a panorama of the glaciers of the North Chuya Range, the largest in Central Asia!
Here everyone can take amazing photos and enjoy the grandeur of the mountain giants.
Then the program becomes even more exciting – the group transfers to an off-road vehicle* and embarks on an amazing journey through the valley of the Kyzyl Chin River, which means “Red Gorge” in Turkic.
This place, known among travelers as "Altai Mars”, will amaze even the most sophisticated tourists – its alien landscapes really create the feeling that you are on another planet!
After lunch, the participants will meet with another natural wonder – the Blue Lake on the Mena River.
Here, underground springs create real magic, blurring the silt and blue-white clay at the bottom of the lake, creating unique, ever-changing patterns.
Every visit to this place is unique, because nature never repeats itself in its creations!
The final point of the day will be the return to the campsite, where everyone will have time to relax and share their impressions of the beauty they saw.
This day will definitely remain in my memory as one of the most exciting adventures on a trip to Altai!
Impressions of the day: Geyser Lake; Kuraiskaya and Chuiskaya steppe; Severo-Chuisky ridge; "Altai Mars".
Difficulty of the day: 170 km by car, including moving to UAZ-loaf 15 km dirt road.
*The use of this vehicle is mandatory for visiting this location, as conventional vehicles will not be able to overcome the difficult terrain.

Day 3 - The Land of a Thousand Lakes
Today, travelers will have a truly magical adventure – exploring one of the most picturesque places in the Altai Republic, the legendary Katu-Yaryk pass!
The group will make several stops to fully enjoy the splendor of nature and take unforgettable photos.
The first stop is the majestic Red Gate, a unique artificially created passage between two steep cliffs, which has become a real symbol of the Ulagan district.
This place does not leave anyone indifferent with its monumentality and beauty.
Next, the path leads to the high-altitude lakes of the Ulagan plateau, where real natural treasures await guests: the mysterious Dead Lake, charming with turquoise waters of Uch-Kel, the graceful elongated Uzun-Kel and the picturesque Kidel-Kel, opening from the highest paved mountain pass.
A special place in the program is a visit to the Pazyryk burial mounds, an ancient Scythian necropolis.
Here, travelers will learn amazing stories about those who were buried in these mounds, and get acquainted with the artifacts that can be seen in the Hermitage today.
The highlight of the day will be two stunning viewing platforms overlooking the Katu-Yaryk pass.
On the first platform, daredevils will be able to test their nerves, standing above a dizzying precipice, overlooking the amazing Kaya Bazhi waterfall, disappearing underground, and the entire Chulyshman Valley in full view.
The second observation deck will provide an opportunity to admire the breathtaking winding descent from the Katu-Yaryk pass, creating unforgettable images of Altai nature in the memory of travelers.
Impressions of the day: Red Gate; Ulagan pass; "Royal" mounds; Uzun-kel Lake; Uch-kel lake; Katu-Yaryk pass.
Difficulty of the day: 200 km by car, including 100 km of dirt roads.

Day 4 - Completion of the program. See you later, Altai
Today, the group is waiting for an amazing journey home, full of new discoveries and impressions!
The participants don't just go back – they create another bright page in the history of their adventure!
Our route will be full of interesting stops: Ilgumen threshold on the majestic Katun River is a place where the river demonstrates all its power and beauty.
The Tsaplinsky Bridge is an impressive engineering structure that has become part of the picturesque landscape.
Ancient treasures of Altai: Participants will be able to choose between the mysterious "Inin steles" of the Bronze Age or the archaeological complex "Adyr-Kan" – a place where each stone holds the secrets of the past.
The group will make a half-hour stop at the Seminsky pass.
Here, travelers will find a real Altai fair, where they can buy unique Mongolian souvenirs, choose natural Altai products: fragrant honey, medicinal herbal teas, selected pine nuts, or just take the latest photos of this unforgettable trip.
The evening part of the trip will end in Gorno-Altaysk, where the group, filled with vivid impressions and warm memories, will arrive from 17:00 to 17:30.
