The route includes the most picturesque passes of the Altai Mountains: Katu-Yaryk, Ulagan, Chike-Taman, the high-altitude Kurai and Chui steppes, glaciers of the North Chui range, Martian landscapes, beautiful waterfalls, many mountain rivers and lakes. And of course, the pearl of Altai is Lake Teletskoye.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Askat Village Tour

    Meeting of the group at the airport in Gorno-Altaysk from 09:00 to 10:30.

    Transfer to the campsite in Askat village, Chemalsky district.

    Check in to the cabins at the base, surrounded on all sides by picturesque mountain ranges. 

    The beautiful Katun River is within walking distance. 

    Askat village is famous for the presence of craftsmen of various crafts: pottery, leather making, painting, painting and wood carving, etc. 

    After a short rest, a sightseeing tour "Legends of Chemal", during which we will visit the island of Patmos, passing over the suspension bridge over the Katun to the church of John the Theologian; Chemalskaya HPP — the oldest hydroelectric power station in Altai, the confluence of the Chemal and Katun rivers.

    Patmos is a small island with steep rocky slopes on the Katun River, on which the Orthodox Church of St. John the Theologian is located.

    At the moment, the temple is an active women's monastery, where services are held, at the same time it is available for everyone to visit.

    In the evening, we will take a short tour of the village of Askat: climb Mount Menzhelik, go down to the rock "Marble", walking along the shore of Katun. 

  • Day 2 - The tour "Legends of the Chui tract"
  • Day 3 - Kurai steppe, Kyzyl-Chin, Blue Lake
  • Day 4 - Chulyshman River Valley, Pazyryk tract
  • Day 5 - Kurkure Waterfall. Walking rafting on the Chulyshman river on request
  • Day 6 - Stone mushrooms
  • Day 7 - Teletskoye Lake. Departure

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour
  • a warm set of clothes: a windproof jacket, a sweater, warm trousers or a fleece suit, a hat, several pairs of warm socks;
  • raincoat/waterproof suit with hood; 
  • summer hiking comfortable things (several T-shirts, shorts, trousers, socks, a sun hat - a cap or a bandana); 
  • shoes – comfortable, well-worn boots or sneakers, slates or sandals for relaxation; 
  • a small backpack for things on excursions, walks (to put a jacket, a water bottle, a first aid kit, etc.); 
  • personal hygiene items, a small towel,
  • individual first aid kit, individual medicines, in the presence of chronic diseases;
  • 0.5 l bottle under water;
