And of course, the pearl of Altai is Lake Teletskoye.

The Golden Altai tour has been included in the register of official tourist routes of the Altai Republic.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Askat Village Tour
Meeting of the group at the airport in Gorno-Altaysk from 09:00 to 10:30.
Transfer to the campsite in Askat village, Chemalsky district.
Check in to the cabins at the base, surrounded on all sides by picturesque mountain ranges.
The beautiful Katun River is within walking distance.
Askat village is famous for the presence of craftsmen of various crafts: pottery, leather making, painting, painting and wood carving, etc.
After a short rest, a sightseeing tour "Legends of Chemal", during which we will visit the island of Patmos, passing over the suspension bridge over the Katun to the church of John the Theologian; Chemalskaya HPP — the oldest hydroelectric power station in Altai, the confluence of the Chemal and Katun rivers.
Patmos is a small island with steep rocky slopes on the Katun River, on which the Orthodox Church of St. John the Theologian is located.
At the moment, the temple is an active women's monastery, where services are held, at the same time it is available for everyone to visit.
In the evening, we will take a short tour of the village of Askat: climb Mount Menzhelik, go down to the rock "Marble", walking along the shore of Katun.
Day 2 - The tour "Legends of the Chui tract"
Magnificent panoramas open directly from the highway.
It is rich in sights, legends and has a rich ancient history, which our guides will tell you about.
During the tour, we will climb the high-altitude Seminsky pass, decorated with century-old cedars, majestic mountains with small snowfields on the tops.
During a half-hour stop at the pass, the guide will tell the story of the entry of the Altai people into Russia.
In addition, those who wish will be able to visit the fair of Mongolian goods and souvenirs, buy real Altai products: honey, herbal teas, mummies, pine nuts.
Continuing the tour along the Chui tract, we will climb the serpentine to the Chike-Taman pass, 1460 m high.
From two observation platforms, we will admire the beautiful views of the eastern slope of the Terektinsky ridge, find out where the old Chui wheeled highway passed in the past centuries.
Beyond the Chike-Taman pass, we will continue along the picturesque Katuni Valley, make several stops to capture in memory and photos the highlights of a short but unforgettable journey through Altai.
Among the rocks of Maly Yaloman we will see a beautiful bend of Katun — the "Katun loop".
Let's find out what the "Katun terraces" are, how and when they were formed.
We will take a short tour to the ancient archaeological complex — the sanctuary of Adyr-Kan, which includes a stone warrior, rock petroglyphs and several groups of ancient burial structures.
Next, we will walk to the mouth of the Chuya River.
This is a place sacred to the Altaians, two large rivers of the Altai Mountains meet here — Chuya and Katun.
Merging, they flow for a while with a pronounced color border.

Day 3 - Kurai steppe, Kyzyl-Chin, Blue Lake
A car tour to the high-altitude Kurai steppe, from where you can see the glaciers of the North Chui ridge, 4,200 m high and the valley of the Chuya River.
A car tour to the tract with the colored lands of Kyzyl-Chin, which is called the "Altai Mars" because of the unusual red rocks.
Excursion "Altai geyser" to the Blue Lake.
At the bottom of the lake there are warm underground springs that wash away the blue-white clay and create bizarre drawings on the lake.
In the evening, an excursion (at the request of the group and for an additional fee, subject to favorable weather) by off—road car to one of the peaks of the Kurai ridge - Mount Verkhnyaya.
A 360° panorama of the surrounding area opens from the mountain: the spacious Chui Valley and the North Chui Ridge rising behind it, the peaks of which are covered with snow all year round.
On the other sides are the peaks of the Kurai range. In good weather, with clear air, Belukha (4506 m), the highest peak of the Altai Mountains, can be seen behind the North Chui Ridge.

Day 4 - Chulyshman River Valley, Pazyryk tract
Car tour to the valley of the Chulyshman river.
On the way, we cross the Red Gate, which opens the way to the land of thousands of lakes and waterfalls, many high-altitude Ulagan lakes (Dead Lake, Uzun-Kel, Kedel, Uch-Kel, etc.), the Ulagan pass, with a height of 2080 m.
Excursion to the Pazyryk tract, inspection of the Scythian mounds, which brought the tract world fame.
3.5 km walking descent along the serpentine to the Chulyshmansky canyon — Katu-Yaryk.
Katu-Yaryk is rightfully considered one of the most beautiful passes of Altai.
The observation deck offers a magnificent view of the Chulyshman Valley and the Chulyshman Highlands.
The height difference is 800 m.

Day 5 - Kurkure Waterfall. Walking rafting on the Chulyshman river on request

Walking tour to the Kurkure waterfall, 30 m high.
The trail goes along the shore of Chulyshman without significant ascents for about 3 km.
Walking rafting along the Chulyshman river with a visit to the Tyul waterfall (at the request of the group, paid separately).
Day 6 - Stone mushrooms
Walking tour to the Ak-Kurum tract for Stone mushrooms — unusual relief forms in the form of huge mushrooms created by nature by washing out and weathering of looser rocks.
The observation deck offers a view from the height of the Chulyshman Valley.
Transfer along the Chulyshman Valley to the southern shore of Lake Teletskoye.

Day 7 - Teletskoye Lake. Departure
A big boat trip across the entire Teletskoye Lake (78 km).
We will see the Korbu waterfall, 12.5 m high, Ayu-Kechpes waterfalls, "Forty Sins", Estube.
Transfer from Artybash village to Gorno-Altaysk.
19:00-20:00 Arrival in Gorno-Altaysk.
