Gorny Altai. A trip to the edge of Russia

Welcome to the Altai Mountain Country!

Congratulations, our guests, this unique place of the deep Altai Mountains is a border area.

Very close, about 30 min. The border with Mongolia is located. 

Our journey will continue along this border in the most remote place of the Republic. 

We have breakfast and local guys are waiting for us on passable equipment, with whom we will begin to conquer the virgin places of this fertile land. 

Traveling through the Altai steppe, we will visit the Tarkhatinsky megalithic complex – an archaeological monument, an ancient megalithic complex. 

Then we will pass the border checkpoint, our passports will be checked and we will go to the tourist complex. 

The whole way will be unusual, in good weather you can even see Belukha, the main mountain of Siberia.

We will make a stop for a snack by the river – herbal tea on the fire. 

And now you will get acquainted with the most remote settlement – Jazator (or Belyashi in another way). 

The guide will tell you why this village has such names. 

After passing it, they will be waiting for us at the tourist complex with a delicious national dinner and a hot bathhouse. 

Accommodation in warm houses on the river bank, but without amenities. 

This area is not yet a tourist area and infrastructure is not developed, so everything here is pristine and untrodden nature. 

All the guests really like it!

Breakfast and at about 10:00 we leave for the mountains! 

The scenery will take your breath away! 

Such mountain passes and canyons, just - WOW! 

This is a real highlands.

The height is 1600 m, the peaks of the surrounding peaks rise to 3-4 thousand meters. 

We will reach the Karagemsky breakthrough – this is five kilometers of the Argut River flowing in a deep gorge. 

The spurs of the Katunsky Ridge are pressed from the left bank, and the Yuzhno-Chuisky Ridge from the right. 

The place is impressive, which is certainly worth a visit! 

The journey will take place along the pass, which overlooks the Samakha steppe, then the whole territory of archaeological sites – Scythian graves and stone statues. 

Let's stop on the shore of the noisy Argut and have a delicious picnic!

You can climb up to the observation deck, which offers a gorgeous view and you can see the petroglyphs. 

Return to the tourist complex in the evening, a sauna and a delicious dinner are waiting for you.

Let's be inspired by a beautiful morning and today a walk around the neighborhood on horses. 

A two-hour walk through beautiful places accompanied by an instructor and just relax-stay in this unique place.

It depends on when you choose a tour – in July you can get to the mushrooms, there are so many of them! 

The berry is real, wild – the taste is unusual and with a huge amount of vitamins. 

Alpine meadows, high mountains with squirrels, clean, talkative rivers are what you need for a real vacation!

After breakfast with our belongings, we leave this cozy place and move to the village of Aktash.

Let's get acquainted with the Telengits – a small ethnic group of the Altai language family, the hostess of the village will tell about the life and culture of local residents, treat them to national cuisine. 

Next, the trip will be intense – we will visit the Martian Mountains – a popular tourist destination! 

These mountains seem to be painted in stripes in different shades of red, yellow and green. 

After this scenic spot, we will make a stop in the Kurai steppe and take cool photos against the background of the North Chui ridge. 

The eternal glaciers of this range amaze with their greatness. 

And what else will we surprise you with on this day! 

Of course, Chui meanders is a gorgeous panoramic place! 

The Geyser Lake will not leave you indifferent either, acquaintance with it and we will finish an eventful day. 

We reach the tourist complex, get settled, rest. 

There is accommodation in wooden houses (bathroom and shower in the house).

An evening dinner at the campfire is a very pleasant atmosphere! 

Additionally: entrance to Mars – 300 rubles/person and to Geyser Lake – 100 rubles/person.

This day will amaze with its landscapes in a special way. 

We will also move on passable vehicles – jeeps or UAZ patriot.  

The culmination is the Katu–Yaryk pass and the Chulyshmanskaya Valley.

But to get to these beautiful places, we will introduce you to the Red Gate, the dead lake, the Ulagan Pass, which is generously strewn with cedar, the Pazyryk burials (the finds of this place are kept in the Hermitage). 

And so, when you get to the pass, you will definitely fall in love with this place. 

An amazing canyon with waterfalls, here you can get the most top travel photos in Altai. 

We will go down the serpentine down to the Chulyshman river and organize a picnic.

After breakfast, we leave for Gorno-Altaisk. 

A comfortable minibus will come for us and then the journey will take place along the beautiful Chui highway. 

We will make stops at the Shirlak waterfall, the confluence of the Chuya River and the Katun River, get acquainted with the magical valley, where we will make a wish that will definitely come true. 

This tour will fill you with energy, health, a powerful reboot will take place – the result will not take long. 

After the journey, you will miraculously achieve incredible goals that you have only dreamed of.

On the way, lunch at a trusted cafe (not included in the price) and we will get to the hotel in Gorno-Altaysk in the evening.

At this point, the guide says goodbye to you and leaves the next morning.
