We meet with the group at the Gorno-Altaisk airport, most flights from Moscow arrive early in the morning.
A good option is to fly in the day before to spend the night and sleep before the start of the tour.
If you arrive in Barnaul, then morning flights from Moscow also arrive early in the morning, from about 6 to 7 in the morning. We will meet you and arrange a transfer, but you will additionally have to drive about 270 km, a boring road.
After meeting all the participants of the tour, we get acquainted, drink a cup of coffee, have breakfast – if necessary and start our tour.
On this day, our goal is the Swan Nature Reserve. 700-900 whooper swans and many ducks winter here on Lake Svetloye.
The water in the lakes does not freeze even in severe frosts. The "whoopers" live up to their name, the cackle and noise is over the entire lake.
Birds are used to people, they swim very close, but still they are absolutely wild representatives of the animal world, who will fly north in the spring to reproduce their offspring.
You can take pictures, just watch, or even feed.
We feed, photograph the swans and move further towards the Chuisky tract.
We spend the night at one of the tourist bases in a picturesque place on the banks of the Katun River.
After dinner, you can walk along the shore, which is cluttered with emerald-colored ice hummocks.
