  • Day 1 - Auto transfer Novosibirsk – Barnaul – Biysk – Tyungur

Our trip starts from the collection points in the cities of Novosibirsk and Barnaul, from which a transfer is organized to the city of Biysk, where we draw up the necessary documents and get acquainted with the instructors.

From Biysk, we head to the final destination of the first day – the village of Tyungur, on the way we meet the participants arriving in Gorno-Altaysk.

The road will partially run along the famous Chuisky highway and a chain of automobile passes, among which Seminsky can be noted.

After descending from the Seminsky pass into the valley of the Ursul River and turning off the Chuisky tract, we continue to the Yabogan pass.

After overcoming it, the route leads us into the expanses of the Ust-Kansk steppe.

The next stage of the route crosses the Kirlyk pass and the Abai steppe beyond it, here the route section runs parallel to the course of the Koksa River and culminates in an ascent to the Gromotukha Pass.

Next, we will see the majestic Katun River in the Uimon steppe again.

After reaching the village of Tyungur, we set up camp in a tent campsite.

The day ends with a traditional camping dinner in a warm atmosphere by the campfire.

By car (from Barnaul): 680 km. On the road, excluding traffic jams and sanitary stops, 12 hours.
