Itinerary

  • Day 1 - The Boki tract. The first training session

    Meeting in Novosibirsk on May 03, 2026 at 06:00 and transfer to a bus.

    Tourists from other regions of Russia join here (for tourists from Perm, the train starts on May 02, 2026 at 00.06 (local time) and departs from Perm to Novosibirsk, the ticket is not included in the price).

    Along the way, photos of the Katuni and Chuya valleys framed by pink mountains of blooming rhododendron.

    Arrival in the evening at the Boki tract on the Chuisky highway.

    Dinner in the meadow.

    Collecting equipment.

    A short lecture on the theory of water tourism.

    Training on the water at a distance of 3 km. to the Petrel threshold (3 km.).

    Organization of insurance.

    Passing the Petrel threshold.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour

Required:

  • certified water helmet with a working clasp;
  • full dry or wet wetsuit (top, bottom, sneakers, gloves);
  • trunk / hermetic bag /backpack 85-110 l. (required leave a reserve for general equipment of 25-35 liters);
  • a hermetic bag for the entire volume of the backpack (it is possible to pack everything in thick plastic bags as a last resort).
  • in addition, a small 3-5 liter hermetic bag is desirable for personal items "at hand".
  • sunscreen (mountain sun + water are cruel), sunglasses.
  • Reftamide Green repellent;
  • headlamp flashlight;
  • personal documents and money in a hermetically sealed package;
  • thermos for at least 0.5 liters;
  • knife, spoon, plate, mug;

preferably:

  • thermal insulation seat (hob, podpopnik);
  • hygienic lipstick, baby cream or ointment Boro-Plus;
  • watches, hermetically sealed matches, lighter;
  • knee pads (it is convenient to stand on them in stops), elbow pads;

By clothes:

Required:

  • jacket and trousers, storm or membrane, waterproof;
  • insulated jacket, a down jacket is desirable (at night it may be -10);
  • balaclava/bandana/balaclava for a water helmet on the water;
  • carefully hermetically packed spare set of clothes;

preferably:

  • bivouac shoes (sneakers or light shoes);
  • sweatshirt (jacket) fleece;
  • thermal underwear;
  • warm windproof hat (windblock, polartek);
  • underwear and socks in an amount that meets your hygienic requirements.
  • toiletries;
  • bathing accessories.

The equipment should be light, comfortable and easy to handle.
