Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Check-in. Transfer to the Booki River

    You need to arrive in the Altai Republic before 11:00 on the day of the start of the tour.

    Group transfer from Gorno-Altaysk airport - as a gift!

    The Taezhnik tourist complex is the Booki River.

    Breakfast.

    Getting to know the guides.

    A journey along the oldest route of Siberia – the Chuisky tract.

    Along the way, tourists will learn about the history of Gorny Altai and the traditions of its indigenous population.

    Lunch at a cafe.

    Accommodation in tents.

    Dinner at the campfire.

    Briefing, preparation for the campaign.

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour
  1. A backpack, suitcase, or large travel bag, that is, something in which it is convenient to carry things to the base, special means (dry bag) are provided on the route for transporting things.
  2. Sneakers, running shoes (one size larger for hydro socks) or special shoes for rafting.
  3. Thermal underwear or cotton T-shirt under a wetsuit.
  4. Replacement shoes for camping (slates).
  5. A set of clothes for camping – trousers, shirt, shorts, T-shirt, thermal underwear is ideal for overnight stays, it will also help out if the weather gets bad.
  6. A warm sweater.
  7. A warm jacket.
  8. A warm hat.
  9. A cap or a panama hat.
  10. Gloves (even simple cotton ones will do).
  11. Socks – 2-3 pairs of cotton or linen, 2 pairs of wool.
  12. A bathing suit.
  13. Toilet and hygiene supplies. Including hygienic lipstick and sunscreen with a high protection factor.
  14. A small flashlight (head mounted).
  15. An individual first-aid kit if you have an individual intolerance to any standard medications or a need for specific or strictly prescription medications. The instructor takes the main first-aid kit with him.
  16. Camera or video camera (optional) with hermetically sealed packaging, as well as a spare battery for it or an external energy storage device, since there will be a lot of views that you want to capture, but there is nowhere to recharge.
  17. Tourist seat (hoba).
  18. Personal tableware (plate, spoon, mug).
  19. Towel (when placed in tents or cabins without amenities).

It is recommended to have your own sleeping bag designed for temperatures up to -5 degrees. In case of absence, a sleeping bag is issued.

The requirement for a set of personal items: nothing superfluous or sharp (without appropriate packaging that could damage the film packaging); the camera and movie camera must have special sealed boxes or sealed packaging. 

For the convenience of packaging and additional splash protection, we recommend having plastic bags.

    It was my first time in Altai, and despite the program changes, I really enjoyed everything. I’ve been traveling with “Big Country” to different regions for several years now, and everything is always very well organized.
