You will take a scenic path to Lake Shavlinskoye. Its shore is equipped with parking lots for tents, there is also a parking lot of idols, where you can admire the wood carvings of resourceful tourists from different countries and generations.

Here you will set up a camp and make radial exits to snow-white glaciers, mountain peaks and an observation deck. And in the evenings, cozy gatherings and food cooked over a campfire, sincere conversations and a friendly atmosphere of the hike await you.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Transfer from Biysk / Gorno-Altaisk to the village of Chibit
Meeting in the morning of the participants of the hike.
Meeting in Biysk at 8:00, at the airport of Gorno-Altaysk at 10:00 (transfer to the village of Chibit and lunch at a cafe on the way is paid separately).
Loading into transport, moving to the village of Chibit, accommodation at the tourist base in tents.
Distribution of public goods, food.
Dinner, gatherings around the campfire, getting to know the band members.
Travel time: 430 km.
Day 2 - Crossing the Oroi Pass
The first day of the active walking part of our trip.
Transfer to the Oroysky bridge on a prepared transport, the beginning of movement along the route, we pass the uncategorized Oroysky pass.
We have dinner in the upper reaches of the Oroi River.
The climb is 600 m.
Walking distance: 16 km.
Day 3 - The mouth of the Shabaga River
Today we are trekking along the Oroy River, alpine meadows are spread around, berries, mushrooms and cedar cones are found along the way.
We cross the Yeshtykol plateau and stop for the night at the mouth of the Shabaga River.
Reset the height of 200 meters.
Walking distance: 14 km.
Day 4 - Lake Shavlinskoye
We wake up and have breakfast.
We are moving along the mouth of the Shabaga River, today we have to reach Lake Shavlin, it is the largest and most beautiful of the group of Shavlin lakes.
It is about 1.5 km long and 500 m wide, located at an altitude of almost 2000 m.
One shore of the lake is very steep and rocky, and the other is flat, on which there are many places convenient for parking.
Here we will camp and make radial exits.
Our tourists have a unique opportunity to take a ride on Lake Shavlinsky on a packraft!
The climb is 500 m.
Walking distance: 16 km.
Day 5 - Upper Shavlinskoye Lake
A radial exit to the Upper Shavlinskoye Lake is planned today.
On the way we will meet a stone city built by tourists.
We will reach the glacier and admire the mountain peaks: A dream, a Beauty and a Fairy Tale.
In the evening, we will have dinner and a sauna on the shore of Lake Shavlin.
The climb is 500 m.
Walking distance: 8 km.
Day 6 - Observation deck in the area of the Pyramid mountain
On this day, we will have to make a radial exit to the observation deck towards the Pyramid mountain, which offers a panoramic view of all the Shavlin lakes!
The climb is 450 m.
Walking distance: 8 km.
Day 7 - Down the Shavla River
Our stay at the Shavlin lakes is over and we begin the return journey using the same paths that we went to the lakes.
Walking distance: 16 km.
Day 8 - Descent to the campsite in the village of Chibit
We descend even lower, go along the Shabaga River to the Oroysky pass, overcome the last kilometers and return to the village of Chibit.
We are accommodated in tents on the territory of the campsite.
Walking distance: 24 km.
Day 9 - Return trip to Gorno-Altaysk and Biysk
Our journey ends, we have to return along the Chui tract from the village of Chibit to the city of Biysk / Gorno-Altaisk (transfer from the village of Chibit is paid separately).
