Itinerary

Day 1 - The beginning of the path
The beginning of the tour to the Shavlinsky lakes.
Departure from Novosibirsk/Barnaul in the village of Chibit.
Departure from Novosibirsk at 20:00.
The place of departure is 64 Semey Shamshinykh St. (local time, the difference from Moscow is +4 hours).
Departure from Barnaul (Novoaltaysk) at 23:50 (local time, the difference from Moscow is +4 hours).
The path lies along the legendary Chuisky Highway, one of the 10 most beautiful roads in the world according to National Geographic.
On the way, we will pass the Seminsky Pass, the highest point of the Chuisky tract (1,717 m.) and the famous winding Chike Taman pass (1,300 m.).
Bus/minibus 767 km. from Novosibirsk, 575 km. from Barnaul.
Meals on the road are at your own expense.
Day 2 - Chibit
Arrival at the tourist complex in Chibit, a picturesque village founded in 1801.
Lunch.
Safety briefing, getting equipment.
An evening of dating.
Supper.
Breakfast on the road at your own expense, lunch and dinner at the base.
Camping accommodation.
Day 3 - Oroi Pass
Breakfast.
Transfer to the Orokto bridge.
The journey begins with crossing a colorful bridge over the Chuya River.
A steep, long climb up a scenic trail surrounded by larches and cedars.
Overnight at Oroy Pass.
Here you can buy milk, cottage cheese and hot Altai tortillas.
By car, on foot + packhorses: 5 km. 7 km. The height difference is + 900 m.
Three meals a day, camp kitchen.
Overnight in tents.
Day 4 - The Yeshtykol Plateau
In the morning - ascent to the Oroy pass (n/a, 2270 m.).
The pass offers panoramic views of the Kurai Range.
Crossing the picturesque Yeshtykol plateau with numerous streams, surrounded by mountains.
Overnight in a cozy parking lot in a cedar forest.
Walking + packhorses 10 km.
Three meals a day, camp kitchen.
Day 5 - Lake Shavlinskoye
Transfer to Lake Shavlinsky.
The path lies along the Shavla River through coniferous forest and blooming alpine meadows.
Lake Shavlinsky is a fabulous lake with clear bright turquoise water, in the mirror surface of which three snow—covered peaks are reflected: A Dream, a Fairy Tale and a Beauty!
The lake is located at an altitude of 1970 m.
Grayling is found in the lake.
Overnight on the lake shore.
On foot + packhorses 14 km.

Day 6 - The day
The diary.
Rest, relaxation, swimming, photographing and walking on the shore of a beautiful lake.
Inspection of the clearing of Altai idols carved from wood.
A walk to the "city of masters" is a traditional Altai "stone city" consisting of figure tours made of stones.
Walking distance of 1 km.
Three meals a day, camp kitchen.

Day 7 - Climbing the Pyramid Mountain
Radial exit — climbing Pyramid Mountain (3175 m).
From the top of the mountain there is a stunning view of the lakes and snowy mountain ranges!
Mountains can be seen from great distances, and in cloudless weather you can even see Belukha, the highest mountain in Altai, located 70 kilometers from the viewing point!
Walking distance is 4 km., elevation difference is 1200 m.
Three meals a day, camp kitchen.

Radial exit — exit light, without backpacks.
Day 8 - Upper Shavlinskoye Lake
Radial exit to the Upper Shavlinsky lake.
On the Upper Lake, you can see the famous mountain peaks of the Dream, Fairy Tale and Beauty, the Abyl-Oyuk pass and majestic glaciers up close.
Walking distance is 8 km.
Three meals a day, camp kitchen.
Overnight in tents.
Radial exit — exit light, without backpacks.
Day 9 - Descent to the Oroi pass
Descent to the Oroy pass along the already familiar path through picturesque forests and blooming meadows.
Walking distance 24 km.
Three meals a day, camp kitchen.
Overnight in tents.
Day 10 - Return to Chibit
Transfer to the Oroysky Bridge.
Transfer to the tourist complex.
Sauna (to be paid separately).
A farewell party.
On foot, by car 7 km. 5 km.
Breakfast and lunch — camp kitchen, dinner at the base.
Camping accommodation.
Day 11 - Departure
Breakfast.
Equipment delivery.
Free time, walking.
If desired and the weather is suitable, you can book an excursion to the Aktau Repeater, located on the Kurai Ridge, a place at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters, which offers a very wide panoramic view of the mountains.
Lunch.
Departure to Novosibirsk.
Bus/minibus 575 km to Barnaul 767 km to Novosibirsk.
Breakfast and lunch at the base, dinner on the road at your own expense.
Day 12 - End of the program
Arrival in Novosibirsk/Barnaul.
The end of the trip to the Shavlinsky lakes.

It's important to know

Documents – passport, medical policy.
The money is for additional expenses (meals on the road, a sauna, souvenirs, etc.).
Clothes:
- Warm clothes: a jacket or down jacket, warm trousers (for example, with fleece lining), a warm sweater (made of wool or fleece), warm socks, gloves, a hat.
- Raincoat or waterproof storm jacket. A fabric raincoat with taped seams or a membrane jacket will do. If you decide to take an inexpensive, oilcloth raincoat, take several pieces at once (with a margin).
- Waterproof/windproof pants. Fabric trousers with taped seams from the "jacket/pants" kits, which are sold in hunting, fishing, tourism stores, or membrane trousers, will be suitable.
- The main set of clothes: lightweight sweatpants for transitions, several T-shirts, underwear, several pairs of socks, a sun hat.
- Sleepwear: a set of thermal underwear or a thin knitted set (T-shirt with sleeves and tights). A separate pair of warm socks.
Shoes:
- Trekking boots (you can wear well-worn "boots" or other high boots with a solid sole).
- Sneakers or sneakers.
- Slates.
Personal first aid kit:
- Medicines for specific diseases.
