We invite children over the age of six to our cruises, accompanied by their parents or legal representatives. The decision on the participation of children under the age of six is made individually and is subject to approval.

According to our observations, children adapt very quickly to life on board and are happy to participate in the general lecture and entertainment program. Despite the fact that there is no children's animator on board, our young guests do not have to be bored: they listen with interest to fascinating lectures from experts, spend time on the captain's bridge and play board games in the library. Children are also very enthusiastic about landings on the coast and land-based activities.

However, there are certain restrictions for our young guests, for example, only travelers over the age of 16 can participate in kayaking, and those over the age of 12 can participate in polar camping.

We would like to emphasize that during the cruise, parents are fully responsible for the life and health of their children both on board and during landings on the coast.

According to statistics, 20% of our passengers travel with children, so your children will have a great opportunity to make new friends.

There is no special children's menu on board, but the food ration on our expeditions is very diverse and includes, among other things, dietary meals.

There is a laundry service on board our ships, so it is not necessary to bring clothes for every day. There may be two pieces of luggage per person. Please take only the necessary things.

Major baggage restrictions await you on air travel, especially on domestic flights. Pack your bags to meet the strictest requirements of all your flights.

As a rule, special physical training is not required for an expedition cruise if you successfully cope with the tasks of daily activity. However, it is worth remembering that the polar regions are an inaccessible area with difficult access to hospitals. Passengers must have sufficient mobility to feel comfortable during disembarkation or possible pitching.

Our polar cruises are suitable for all ages. According to statistics, our passengers are between 20 and 80 years old. Each of them finds what they went to the Arctic, Antarctica or the North Pole for. Young people from 20 to 30 will be able to take the best selfies against the backdrop of giant icebergs, take part in polar kayaking or a photography master class. New experiences for the whole family await our passengers from 30 to 45 years old (children can take part in cruises from 6 years old). Passengers over the age of 50 will be pleasantly surprised by the comfort of our expedition vessel and the extensive library on board.

We try to make every expedition day full of impressions and memorable new polar adventures. Workshops on the history, geology, flora and fauna of the regions through which the ship's route lies are held on board. There are also a number of briefings to prepare for the landings in The Arctic, In Antarctica and the North Pole, and familiarization with the rules of passenger behavior in accordance with the requirements of IAATO and AECO organizations.

All public areas of the ship will be at your service: a library with polar literature, a fitness center, a restaurant and a bar. There are board games in the recreation area, and film screenings are held in the evening.

Staying on the outside decks provides a great opportunity for taking photos and observing whales, birds and marine animals.

The style of clothing on board is casual. You can take your favorite high-heeled shoes with you, but they will be uncomfortable while rolling. A more elegant style is welcome during the welcome and farewell cocktails.

Be sure to bring your prescription medications with you. There is a standard set of medicines on board, but we cannot guarantee that there will be enough for all passengers on each cruise. Please take your medications with you for the duration of the trip, not just for the duration of the cruise.

The Doctor is an obligatory member of our expedition team. He provides assistance to passengers and the ship's crew. Each ship has an equipped clinic room for solving simple health problems.

Yes, of course. Each vessel is equipped with Zodiac motor-rowing inflatable boats. These easy-to-operate boats are used both for excursions on the water and for landings. On land, you can hike on the tundra or ice.

We understand the increased interest in drop-offs and provide them as often as possible. Of course, the time of year and weather conditions can affect the locations and frequency of landings. Please consult with us to choose the right cruise for you.

Disembarkation from an expedition vessel requires compliance with certain formal procedures, in particular, customs inspection. We usually start the disembarkation process after breakfast, and after completion we provide a group transfer to the nearest airport. 

We strongly recommend booking flights home with a departure time no earlier than noon. We cannot guarantee that you will arrive at the airport before that time.

Wi-Fi is available on board the Sea Spirit vessel, the use of which is included in the price of the cruise. The Internet speed is enough to check your email and send a message to your family. Cellular communication in most polar regions does not work.

Air and railway tickets are not included in the price of the tour. You can purchase them yourself or contact us for help.

This is a trip to a remote, inaccessible region. All activities during the cruise depend on the ice and weather conditions and are determined by the expedition leader and the captain. 

The actual course of the expedition may differ from the stated one. 

Meetings with declared representatives of the animal world are not guaranteed.

When choosing a cruise, you, of course, get acquainted with the travel plan. However, it should be understood that the indicated route is preliminary and largely depends on weather and ice conditions. For example, we can change the route in case of heavy fog. But don't worry: the ship's captain and our expedition leader will do their best to find alternative options and make your cruise as eventful as possible.

An experienced photographer participates in all our cruises. He is always ready to share his knowledge both on board the ship during photo presentations and lectures, and during disembarkation.

If you are just starting to get acquainted with the world of photography, don't worry. Both advanced and novice photographers can participate in our tours. You will master the key fundamentals of photography in a unique environment, with the opportunity to get your questions answered by the best photographers.

Kayaking is paid additionally – 795 USD.

According to our kayakers, in the very first minutes they realized that they had never experienced such feelings from kayaking anywhere else on the planet. Crystal clear waters carry the kayak in magical harmony — the splash of water, the sound of drops falling from temporarily inactive oars, and the crackle of centuries-old ice. Whales and sparkling icebergs float past you. The grandeur and splendor of the panorama seem to reduce your own size, and it is at this moment that you will be able to feel like a tiny particle of the vast universe more than ever.

To participate in polar kayaking, you need experience and knowledge of English. The number of places is limited: 16 kayakers in the Antarctic and 8 in the Arctic. Therefore, it is recommended to book this option in advance.

Insurance is not included in the price of the tour. Medical insurance is required for the tour, including evacuation and repatriation (minimum coverage of at least 200,000 USD).

Cruises to the Arctic, Antarctic, and North Pole are conducted during the most favorable months. In summer, our expedition ships go north, and in winter they go south. During polar cruises, the climate is usually quite mild, with an air temperature of about 0°C. The sun does not set below the horizon from 18 to 24 hours a day, which changes the perception of the temperature regime — some passengers may even wear T-shirts. However, there are also adverse weather conditions, such as fog and blizzard.

Depending on which direction you choose, the landscape and surrounding scenery will be different. Antarctica is home to the world's largest icebergs, majestic glaciers and snow—capped mountains. At the North Pole, an icebreaker cuts through ice up to three meters thick. And in the Arctic, the natural "scenery" may vary even within the same cruise. For example, on Svalbard there is a blooming tundra, an Arctic desert and towering mountain peaks.

Expedition cruises are a special type of tourism. Of course, they are very different from a beach holiday or a walk through the streets of Europe, but at the same time they cannot be called extreme. No special physical training is required to participate in an expedition cruise, our programs are suitable even for children and the elderly (with the exception of kayaking and polar camping, which have age restrictions). Your safety is our priority. We only work with experienced instructors and expedition leaders, so we can safely say that you have nothing to fear during cruises.

There is quite a lot of excitement between the Arctic islands. But the ship is no longer stormy near the islands or in the ice.

In addition to medicines that a doctor can help you choose, there are also folk remedies to combat seasickness. For example, look at the horizon, eat ginger biscuits or chewing gum, follow a moderate diet and exercise regularly.

A cruise to the polar regions is a very personal experience, which is especially memorable for solo travelers.

Shared accommodation is a program that brings together travelers of the same sex who are willing to share a cabin. Both guests save money because they don't have to pay a surcharge. In case we can't find you a neighbor, you won't have to pay the extra charge for single occupancy.

The price of the cruise does not include air travel to the point of embarkation and disembarkation on the cruise. Tickets can be purchased independently or with our help.

All passengers must have full medical insurance, including evacuation and repatriation.

Some passengers will need to purchase suitable clothing before traveling. This is a very important part of preparing for a cruise. The price includes a branded expedition jacket, and we also provide rubber boots for the time of disembarkation. Be sure to check the list of recommendations for choosing clothes and follow the advice of the staff.

At the end of the cruise, it is recommended to tip the stewards and other staff. We can recommend a budget of 20 USD per person per day on Arctic and Antarctic cruises and 24 USD per person per day on a cruise to the North Pole. Tips will be collected anonymously at the end of each cruise and distributed among the ship's staff.
