Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Buenos Aires, accommodation at the hotel
Arrival in Buenos Aires.
Transfer to the hotel (on your own).
Day 2 - Buenos Aires – Ushuaia
Charter flight from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia.
This city is nestled in the mountains surrounded by fertile plains. Here the Andes plunge directly into the sea, so Ushuaia is one of the most exciting places on Earth.
Boarding in the afternoon.
Access to the sea.
Day 3 - Drake Strait and security briefing
Getting to know the mega yacht and information about Antarctica.
Security briefing with the expedition leader. They will explain to us how the Zodiac landings will take place.
From the bridge, you will be able to see the journey through the eyes of the captain.
Seabird watching with naturalist guides on the open decks.
Day 4 - Drake Strait
We continue to get acquainted with the mega-yacht and information about Antarctica.
We observe marine animals.
We are resting.
Day 5 - Neko Bay, Zodiac tour, Paradise Bay
A small corner of paradise in the shadow of a towering glacier is the port of Neko, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful places on the Antarctic peninsula.
Mountains, ice and wildlife form a truly unique landscape.
Zodiac tour — we will walk next to icebergs, stop near a colony of penguins and watch a sea leopard sunbathing on an ice floe after hunting.
Paradise Bay.
The breathtaking landscapes of towering glacial peaks reflected in the icy waters of Antarctica gave the name Paradise Bay (Paradise).
If we are lucky, we will be able to see an unforgettable underwater dance of humpback whales sailing by.
An excursion to the old Argentine base Almirante Brown, which operates for only a few weeks a year during the Antarctic summer.
Day 6 - The Island of Captivity
Named after the talented photographer Paul Plaine, who accompanied Jean-Baptiste Charcot on his 1903 expedition, Plaine Island has become a haven for subantarctic penguins, elephant seals and fur seals.
A "fleet" of impressive ice formations is anchored along the shores. Like works of art, these extraordinary icebergs change colors from white to dark blue.
On the shore, the red algae create a striking contrast with the white untouched snow, on which there are penguin nesting sites scattered throughout the island.
Day 7 - Charcot Bay, Booth Island
This bay is a natural harbor located in Salpari Bay and discovered by French explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot. The part of the island that we will visit still retains the trace of Charcot from 1903-1905 — the anchored ship "Le Francais".
A short walk will take us to the remains of Charcot's stone hut, where he conducted research. Nearby we will see a colony of subantarctic penguins, and if we continue climbing to the top, we will pass by the stone pyramids and enjoy a panoramic view of the huge field of icebergs scattered across the bay.
Day 8 - Port Lacroix, Goudier Island
During the cruise, we will have the opportunity to stop at Port Lacroix, a spectacular natural harbor located in the heart of the Antarctic Peninsula on Goudier Island.
Discovered by French explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot in 1903, the island was for many years a stopover for whaling ships, then a British military base, and then a research station.
The port is currently one of the most visited places in Antarctica, thanks to a tiny museum that allows visitors to see a real 1950s research base and take home a souvenir from a local store.
Day 9 - Deception Island, South Shetland Islands
Located just above the northern tip of the Antarctic peninsula, Deception Island is easily recognizable due to its characteristic horseshoe shape.
The crater of the volcano located here collapsed 10,000 years ago, and the resulting caldera was flooded, creating a natural harbor.
Deception Island still retains traces of its past as a center of the whaling industry. The remains of abandoned hangars, which were built on the black sand of volcanic beaches, share space with the fascinating fauna of the island: here is the largest colony of Antarctic penguins, as well as numerous elephant seals and fur seals.
Day 10 - To Ushuaia via the Drake Strait
Return to Ushuaia.
We continue to observe whales and seabirds. The activities organized by the expedition team on board help us relive our journey entirely.
There will also be plenty of time to share impressions and photos with your new friends.
Day 11 - Farewell Captain's dinner
We continue to move along the Drake Strait.
Rest.
Farewell captain's dinner.
Day 12 - Ushuaia, Argentina
Breakfast.
Arrival in Ushuaia.
Transfer to the airport.

The luxury expedition vessel Le Boreal embarked on its first cruise in the spring of 2010. Everything has been thought out on board — the reception area, spacious halls, two restaurants, a well-equipped theater, an outdoor swimming pool, a beauty salon and a fitness center, a recreation area with panoramic windows.

Cooking as an art is the main rule of fine restaurants on board. There are 2 of them on board: a traditional restaurant where you can dine both indoors and outdoors. The second restaurant is an international cuisine with delicious dishes.

It's important to know

For our compatriots, the selection of clothes for polar expedition cruises will not be difficult: our winter sportswear fully meets the climatic conditions during most of our trips. Thermal underwear, wind and waterproof clothing, rubber boots will become a reliable basis for your comfort in the polar regions.

Layering in clothing is the most important thing in Arctic expeditions. It is better to wear several light items of clothing than one very warm one. This will help you optimally adapt to temperature changes: it is always easier to remove a layer of clothing if you feel hot, or put on something else if it gets cool.

1) Base layer

Choose thermal underwear made of merino wool or polypropylene, depending on the temperature of the region and the planned level of activity.

2) The middle layer

Wool or fleece sweaters, longsleeves, turtlenecks to create layers of clothing. The middle layers can be worn both under the park on landings and on board the ship.

3) The top layer

Windproof and waterproof parka and trousers. The park can be single-layered (insulated with protection from wind and water) or double-layered (consisting of a warm layer and an upper wind and water protection layer).

4) Shoes and accessories

Rubber boots (regular or insulated) are the most suitable option for expeditions. Take with you several pairs of gloves/mittens (1 light, 1 warm waterproof, 1 spare), a hat, a scarf /buff, several pairs of warm (for example, wool) and ordinary socks.
