Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Arkhangelsk. Sightseeing bus tour "Russia's first port". "Small Korels"
Transfer from Arkhangelsk railway station or airport to the hotel (extra charge).
Arrival at 10:00 is recommended.
Check-in in the luggage room of the hotel, meeting in the lobby with the guide.
11:00 Sightseeing bus tour "Russia's first port" will introduce you to the history of the city of Arkhangelsk, its main attractions and the modern life of the regional center.
The city of Arkhangelsk is a land-based Arctic territory of the Russian Federation.
13:00 Lunch at a cafe.
14:00 Country tour to the Museum of wooden architecture "Malye Korely". The tour will take you through one sector of the Kargopolsko-Onega Museum.
Then there will be free time for walking, buying souvenirs and a photo shoot.
Return to Arkhangelsk, accommodation.
Free time, dinner on your own.

Day 2 - Golubino Park
Early breakfast at the hotel.
07:30 Departure from Arkhangelsk. The journey takes about 3.5-4 hours, with one stop.
Please note! There is a dirt road leading to Pinezhye, as well as a group transfer without a guide. You are provided with an audio guide.
11:30 Arrival at Golubino Park.
Tea party with local pastries.
12:00 Departure to the village. Pinega (17 km).
A trip to the Sotka River (15 km).
Visit a picturesque corner of the northern taiga.
Together we will admire the most beautiful karst river in our region, the Sotka (Pinezhsky district), learn and see a lot about the nature of the northern territory.
A walk on the rocks.
Dinner cooked over a campfire.
17:00-18:00 Departure to Arkhangelsk.
Arrival in Arkhangelsk at approximately 21:30, dinner on your own.

Day 3 - Hadrian's Island River Space Tour
Breakfast at the hotel, room release, things can be left in the luggage room at the hotel.
09:30 Departure for a river space excursion to Hadrian's Island by boat.
Voznesenie village tour. It is here that one of the oldest temples of the Arkhangelsk region is located — the Church of the Ascension of the Lord, which gave the name to the village.
Visit to the Space Museum.
At one time, the village was home to one of the world's four integrated magnetic ionospheric observatories, where scientists investigated the relationship between the magnetic fluctuations of the planet Earth and cosmic radiation, the northern Lights.
Tea party with homemade Northern pastries.
14:30 Return to Arkhangelsk.

My 4-day trip to Arkhangelsk in February 2026 left me with unforgettable memories. Many thanks to “Big Country” and to Yulia, the local coordinator in Arkhangelsk, for the excellent organization and the fascinating excursions. I was especially impressed by the beautiful northern landscapes, the variety of museums, and the warmth and hospitality of the local people. I enjoyed the trip so much that I wished I could have stayed longer.

Good afternoon! We were on the "Northern Lights Hunt" tour in Arkhangelsk from March 2 to 5. Overall, everything was very well organized, and we would especially like to thank our guide Marina for the informative excursions and her warm, caring attitude toward us throughout the trip. Unfortunately, because of the weather, we didn’t get a chance to see the Northern Lights, which was a bit disappointing. Still, thank you very much for the wonderful trip and the excellent organization.

I really enjoyed the trip—thanks to the tour managers! Everything was well-organized and clearly planned. I especially appreciated how quickly they responded to any questions I had and explained everything patiently. Even though I was traveling solo, all the excursions felt lively and engaging. It was a bit disappointing that the last tour was canceled, but I appreciated the advance notice, which gave me the chance to arrange a visit on my own. I’ll definitely recommend you!
