Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival in Arkhangelsk. Sightseeing tour of the city. A thematic tour at the Northern Maritime Museum. Walking along Chumbarova-Luchinsky pedestrian street

Meeting at the railway station or at the Arkhangelsk airport.

Transfer to the hotel (for an additional fee), we leave our belongings in the luggage room.

Car and pedestrian sightseeing tour "Welcome to Arkhangelsk".

The most attractive place in the city is considered to be the embankment of the Northern Dvina, where the tourist hits of Arkhangelsk are located: for example, the monument to Peter I, who once conceived the idea of founding an admiralty here.

In addition, at this time, everyone will appreciate the view of the river from the embankment, because the ice flow on the northern rivers is amazing and fascinating, it's something. It's definitely worth seeing it once.

Fresh air, a breeze, sunset and floating ice floes set you up for a meditative mood.

Two hours of guided tour – and a lot of new impressions, knowledge about the history of Russia and the development of the Russian North, about modern life and the past of Arkhangelsk.

A thematic tour at the Northern Maritime Museum "Arkhangelsk – the gateway to the Arctic".

On the tour we will tell you about the eventful history of Arctic exploration. You will feel the spirit of sea adventures, see the layouts and maps that our ancestors used to explore the edge of the white silence.

    Lunch in Arkhangelsk style.

One of the lunch options is a Mimosa salad with mouth–watering salmon, Belomorskaya Yushka soup with wonderful fish broth and, of course, the main dish of Arkhangelsk - cod, complemented with a delicate asparagus cream.

A walk along the pedestrian street Chumbarova-Luchinsky.

Chumbarov-Luchinsky Avenue or Chumbarovka, as it is called in its native language by Archangel City residents, is a pedestrian avenue in the heart of the city of Arkhangelsk.

This is a "reserved street" where you can get acquainted with northern architecture, see sculptures of famous writers and their characters, taste Arkhangelsk gingerbread, visit small museums, cafes and shops and just have a good time.

    Check-in at the hotel.

    Dinner on your own.

    Free time.

Good afternoon! We were on the "Northern Lights Hunt" tour in Arkhangelsk from March 2 to 5. Overall, everything was very well organized, and we would especially like to thank our guide Marina for the informative excursions and her warm, caring attitude toward us throughout the trip. Unfortunately, because of the weather, we didn’t get a chance to see the Northern Lights, which was a bit disappointing. Still, thank you very much for the wonderful trip and the excellent organization.

I really enjoyed the trip—thanks to the tour managers! Everything was well-organized and clearly planned. I especially appreciated how quickly they responded to any questions I had and explained everything patiently. Even though I was traveling solo, all the excursions felt lively and engaging. It was a bit disappointing that the last tour was canceled, but I appreciated the advance notice, which gave me the chance to arrange a visit on my own. I’ll definitely recommend you!
