Itinerary

Day 1 - Meeting. Sightseeing tour and Kargopol Museum
Arrival at Nyandoma station.
10:30 Meeting of tourists at the main entrance to the railway station from the platform.
Transfer to Kargopol.
Travel time is 1.5 hours.
Arrival in Kargopol.
Things in the hotel's luggage room.
Meeting with the guide.
Lunch at a cafe.
Walking sightseeing tour of the most wonderful and memorable places of the city.
In the city center you will see a tall bell tower with a triumphal arch in the first tier, which was built by Russian craftsmen to welcome Empress Catherine the Great, as well as a cathedral from the time of Ivan the Terrible.
Visit to the Kargopol Museum, the exhibition "Kargopol since ancient times".
The exhibition presents the history of the Kargopol fortress, objects from the excavations of the 17th century, including weapons, cannons, and cannonballs.
Visitors will be presented with a unique icon "Boris and Gleb against the background of the burning Kargopol fortress", painted "1700 on May 1 day" in memory of the miraculous rescue of Kargopol from the fire, they will tell about the siege of the Kargopol fortress by Polish-Lithuanian troops in 1612 and the successes of the Kargopol people.

Day 2 - Kenozersky National Park and a trip to the village of Lyadiny
Late breakfast.
Visit to Kenozersky National Park.
Travel time in one direction is 2 hours.
Kenozersky Park is a specially protected natural area, an island of Russian lifestyle, traditions, and culture.
A unique natural monument is the continental divide of two oceans: the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans.
Walk to the highest point in the area – Khizhgora, to the church of Alexander Svirsky, with a wonderful view from the belfry.
A walk through the architectural park "Kenozersky biryulki", in which the monuments of wooden architecture of Kenozerye are recreated – chapels, huts, outbuildings in miniature.
Rustic lunch in a "Handmade hut" with local pickles, "royal fish" – grouse, pies from a Russian oven, herbal tea and cranberry juice.
A trip to the village of Lyadiny, where the multi-headed Church of the Epiphany is located with an intricate semicircular porch-cemetery that is not found anywhere else.
A walk through the village, a visit to the ethnographic museum "Lyadinskoe uzorochye", where objects of peasant life and linen craft are collected.
Return to Kargopol after 18:00.

Day 3 - Villages of Oshevenskoye and Saunino
Breakfast.
9:00 Bus and walking tour to "Oshevenskaya volost".
The village of Oshevenskoye is an outstanding historical and landscape monument of the Russian North.
The residential buildings in the old layout organically coexist with chapels, churches, and the monastery complex.
Artifacts of pagan culture have been preserved here.
In the village of Saunino, visit the Church of St. John Chrysostom (17th century).
Inside, the temple is covered with a picturesque ceiling — "painted skies".
The hexagonal bell tower of the XVIII century gives the ensemble a complete and unique look.
Rustic lunch of Kargopol cuisine.
Bread and pies from a Russian oven are just like grandma's.
Simple and surprisingly delicious food: rich soup and fish "in the northern way", pickles, and porridge from Oshevenskaya.
14:00 Transfer to Arkhangelsk.
Travel time is 6 hours, stops are made on the way.
Arrival in Arkhangelsk after 20:00.

Day 4 - Severodvinsk and Arkhangelsk
Breakfast.

Country tour "Severodvinsk — a city by the White Sea".
Sightseeing tour of Severodvinsk.
Severodvinsk is the second largest city in the Arkhangelsk region, a hardworking city, an industrial and port giant.
Tourists will get acquainted with the history of the Russian submarine fleet and the design of submarines during the interactive program "Museum Submarine".
Collecting the "constructor", tourists will learn about technical solutions in the field of design and construction technology of nuclear submarines, about their internal structure and equipment of premises.
Transfer to the shore of the White Sea, to the island of Yagry.

Sightseeing tour "Arkhangelsk – the capital of Pomerania".
On the shore of the Northern Dvina on the cape with the mysterious name "Pur-Navolok" you will learn about why the city was founded here and how it got its name, get acquainted with the centuries-old history: from the times when brisk trade was booming here.
You will hear about famous people, about Arctic expeditions, the first of which set off from the docks of Arkhangelsk, about the sights located along the Embankment of the Northern Dvina.

Day 5 - Pinezh caves, waterfall "Holy spring", Krasnogorsk Bogoroditsky monastery

To the land of an unreal northern fairy tale, untouched pristine nature, dense centuries-old forests and unique northern caves, rocks, bubbling crystal rivers and waterfalls.
The Pinezh caves are a unique natural phenomenon: underground karst caves and systems, the largest and most numerous in the European part of Russia.
You will discover the wonderful world of caves, where the eternal cold and darkness keep the secrets of bygone centuries.
Walking along the ecological trail to the ice-free waterfall "Holy Spring" (about 1.5 km).
Departure to Krasnaya Gorka to Krasnogorsky Bogoroditsky monastery (inactive).
After climbing the mountain, travelers can enjoy a majestic, breathtaking panorama of Pinezhye.
You will find a fascinating story about the Red Hill, which was called the Black Hill several centuries ago.

Return to Arkhangelsk.

Once in Malye Korely, you will find yourself in Russia of the XVIII-XIX centuries: peasant huts, slender tent temples of Kargopol, Mezen, Pinega, Podvinya and beautiful northern pine trees stretching to the sky create a sense of patriarchy and extraordinary peace.
