Day 1 - Getting to know Arkhangelsk. Small Corels

11:00 Sightseeing bus tour "Russia's first port" is an introduction to the history of Arkhangelsk and its main attractions.
The acquaintance with the city begins at the cape with the mysterious name "Pur-Navolok".
A story about the place where Arkhangelsk was founded, and Gostiny Dvory, an architectural monument of the 17th century with a majestic tower and powerful walls, as if transported back in time and telling that Arkhangelsk was once a city where trade with foreign merchants was concentrated, and the city that became the first commercial seaport in Russia.
The majestic Severnaya Dvina River and the embankment stretching along it are a favorite place for strolling by both Archangel City residents and visitors.
The monument to Peter I and the seal-savior, the Assumption Church and the Green gazebo – the embankment is good both on summer days and in winter, when a chain of lanterns crosses the ice-bound Northern Dvina.
From the embankment of the Northern Dvina, a panorama opens onto the island part of Arkhangelsk – Solombala Island, where, by decree of Peter the Great, the first state shipyard was laid down and the first merchant ship was launched.

A country bus tour to Russia's largest open–air museum, the Malye Korely Museum-Reserve of wooden architecture (25 km from Arkhangelsk), where more than a hundred wooden architecture monuments collected from all over the Arkhangelsk region (churches, chapels, mills, barns, residential buildings) are located among a picturesque forest.

Day 2 - Sightseeing tour of Severodvinsk. Jagra Island. Wooden shipbuilding shipyard. Northern Maritime Museum
Breakfast at the hotel.
Bus sightseeing tour to Severodvinsk, located on the shore of the White Sea.
During the tour, you will hear the history of the founding and formation of the city from the time of the Nikolo-Korel Monastery to the grandiose construction of Molotovsk, which was once the name of Severodvinsk, the center of nuclear shipbuilding.
The acquaintance with the history of the development of the Russian submarine fleet will continue at the Severodvinsk Museum of Local Lore.
You will have to create an interactive composite model of a nuclear submarine.
By assembling the "constructor", you will learn about technical solutions in the field of design and construction technology of nuclear submarines, their internal structure and equipment facilities.
Departure to the southern coast of the Arctic – to the island of Yagry.
Walk along the southern coast of the Arctic and enjoy stunning views of the White Sea.
Here, on the border of sosnovy Bor and the sea coast, there is a military memorial complex and a memorial sign in honor of the sailors of the Kursk nuclear submarine.
Return to Arkhangelsk.

Excursion to the shipyard of wooden shipbuilding "Pomorsky Koch".
Solombala is the cradle of the Russian navy, a favorite place of Peter the Great, the history of Admiralteiskaya Sloboda, an island where the traditions of wooden shipbuilding are being revived and the Pomorsky Koch, a commercial Pomeranian vessel, is being built.
At the shipyard, you will see with your own eyes how modern craftsmen, using the techniques of wooden shipbuilding, recreate a ship of the pre-Petrine era!
It was on these wooden vessels that the state borders of Russia in the Arctic were described and fixed.
Excursion to the Northern Maritime Museum, Russia's only state marine museum with a scientific and technical profile.
The museum is the keeper of material and spiritual values related to the maritime culture not only of the Russian North, but also of the whole of Russia, as well as the countries of the Barents Euro-Arctic region.
The exhibition "The Millennium of Northern Navigation" will tell you about the history of northern shipbuilding, polar expeditions, the icebreaking fleet and other milestones in the development of Arctic navigation.
A special place is occupied by the history of the northern convoys during the Great Patriotic War.
But what a maritime museum without models of ships! There are more than two dozen of them here, from models of three-masted sailboats of the 17th century to the famous "Saint Foka", on which Georgy Sedov set off to the North Pole.
The museum's collection includes Pomeranian gear, marine devices and instruments, nautical charts, as well as rare publications related to navigation.

Day 3 - Kholmogorskaya Land Heritage Tour

The tour introduces you to the history of the Kholmogorsky land, a beautiful and ancient land that was once the administrative, cultural and religious center of the Dvina lands.
Visit the current Holy Trinity Antoniev-Siysky Monastery, one of the most famous and significant monasteries in the Russian North, which has a history of more than 500 years.
The monastery is famous for the fact that it was here that Boris Godunov exiled Feodor Nikitich Romanov (Filaret), the father of the first tsar of the Romanov dynasty.
The village of Kholmogory: a story about the village and its former greatness.
The history of the construction of the Transfiguration Cathedral and the bell tower, built at the end of the XVII century. Archbishop Athanasius, temples and episcopal chambers, famous for the fact that in the middle of the XVIII century it was here that the family of Emperor John VI (the "Brunswick family") served exile.

Day 4 - Pinezhye Beauty Country Tour

During the trip, you will enjoy the beautiful natural scenery in the Pinega River area, one of the most beautiful rivers of the Russian North.
