A story about the past and present of the provincial capital: ancient temples, picturesque embankments of the Vologda River, ensembles of wooden mansions and a "carved palisade".
Walking tour of the Kremlin Square and the Vologda Kremlin.
Transfer to the Spaso-Prilutsky Dimitriev Monastery, one of the oldest and largest monasteries in the Russian North.
Founded in the 14th century in a bend of the Vologda River by St. Demetrius Prilutsky, a disciple of Sergius of Radonezh, the monastery remains one of the most revered northern shrines.
Travel information about the monastery, a walk around the territory, free time.
Visit to the Lace Museum. The museum is located in the building of the city estate of the XIX century.

13:30 Visit to the Holy Trinity Antonievsky Monastery.
The monastery, founded in 1520, is famous for the fact that it was here that Boris Godunov exiled Fyodor Nikitich Romanov (the future Patriarch Filaret), the father of the first tsar of the Romanov dynasty.
Nowadays, the monastery is actively being revived and restored, and a museum exposition has been created.
Transfer to Arkhangelsk (2 hours, stops are made on the way).
Arrival in Arkhangelsk. Check-in at the hotel.
18:00 Walking tour of the historical center of Arkhangelsk. Getting to know the main sights of the city.

Day 4 - Country tour "Severodvinsk – a city by the White Sea". The shipyard of wooden shipbuilding "Pomorsky Koch". Northern Maritime Museum Tour

During the tour, you will hear the history of the founding and formation of the city from the time of the Nikolo-Korel Monastery to the modern Nuclear Shipbuilding Center.
The acquaintance with the history of the development of the Russian submarine fleet will continue at the Severodvinsk Museum of Local Lore.
At the Museum Submarine exhibition, you will learn about technical solutions in the field of design and construction technology of nuclear submarines, their internal structure and equipment.
Departure to the southern coast of the Arctic – to the island of Yagry.
A walk along the embankment and stunning views of the White Sea, which fascinate at any time of the year.
Return to Arkhangelsk.
Lunch at a cafe.
Excursion to the shipyard of wooden shipbuilding "Pomorsky Koch".
Solombala is the cradle of the Russian navy, a favorite place of Peter the Great, the history of Admiralteiskaya Sloboda, an island where the traditions of wooden shipbuilding are being revived and the Pomorsky Koch, a commercial Pomeranian vessel, is being built.
At the shipyard, you will see with your own eyes how modern craftsmen, using the techniques of wooden shipbuilding, recreate a ship of the pre-Petrine era! It was on these wooden vessels that the state borders of Russia in the Arctic were described and fixed.
Excursion to the Northern Maritime Museum.
The museum is the keeper of material and spiritual values related to the maritime culture not only of the Russian North, but also of the whole of Russia.
In the exhibition "The Millennium of Northern Navigation" you will learn about the history of shipbuilding and polar expeditions, about the development of Arctic navigation.

Day 5 - Wooden Architecture of the Russian North Country Tour

Once in Malye Korely, you will find yourself in a northern village of the XVIII–XIX centuries: peasant huts, slender tent temples, squat chapels, windmills and barns surrounded by the northern forest create a sense of patriarchy and extraordinary peace.
