Day 1 - A tour of Arkhangelsk. Small Karelians
Arrival in Arkhangelsk.
Self-check-in at the hotel.
10:45 Meeting with the guide at the accommodation hotel.
11:00 Walking sightseeing tour "Walk through Arkhangelsk", which introduces the history of the city, the diverse life of modern Arkhangelsk, its main attractions.
Lunch at the cafe.
Bus tour "Wooden architecture of Pomerania".
During the tour you will visit the Museum of Wooden Architecture and Folk Culture "Small Karelians", where the world's largest collection of wooden architecture is collected.
As soon as you set foot on the territory of the museum-reserve, you find yourself in the distant past, in the world of brave pomors, hunters, loggers, farmers.
This open-air museum, which protects a unique culture, has preserved the unique creations of folk architecture.
Return to Arkhangelsk.

Day 2 - Kurtyaevo tract. An ancient Pomeranian village. Transfer to Onega

Departure from Arkhangelsk to Onega.
A walk along the ecological trail in the Kurtyaevo tract.
Kurtyaevo is the mouth of an ancient extinct volcano, located 15 km from the White Sea.
It is known for the icon of Alexius, the man of God, revealed there, and for its numerous sources. The pilgrims who visited Kurtyaevo revered the icon as miraculous.
A special feature of Kurtyaevo is the presence of mineral springs, the water of which is rich in trace elements.
Visit the ancient Pomeranian village (Nenoksa or Una), where tourists will get acquainted with the history of the village, the way of life and traditions of the Pomors, as well as walk along the coast of the White Sea.
Important! To visit the village of Nenoksa, you need to get a pass no later than 14 days before the tour date!

Day 3 - The village of Vorzogory. Onega City Tour

Excursion to the village of Vorzogory.
Vorzogory is an ancient Pomeranian settlement with an interesting residential development and a local maritime lifestyle.
The first mention of Vorzogory dates back to the middle of the XIV century. Where it is said that the inhabitants paid tribute to the Solovetsky monastery, and local craftsmen built wooden sea vessels for the monks.
There is a unique architectural monument in Vorzogory — a wooden tee. It consists of St. Nicholas Church (XVII century), Vvedenskaya Church and bell tower (XVIII century).
Being in this part of the world, you can feel like that very Pomor, a harsh inhabitant of the White Sea coast.
Return to Onega.

Onega is, without any exaggeration, a town on the edge of the earth. Our story is about nine centuries of the history of the ancient Pomeranian settlement.

Day 4 - Wooden temples of Poonezhye
Breakfast at the hotel.
Room release. Departure from Onega to Arkhangelsk.

The village of Raw Materials. Kiryak Rawinsky Chapel and St. Nicholas Church (XIX century) — a real wooden two-altar church with a refectory and a bell tower was erected on the site of the Assumption Rawinsky male desert founded.
The village is a field. The most beautiful monument of wooden architecture has been preserved here — the Church of the Epiphany (XIX century). A two-light quadrangle, covered with a cubical roof with a dome, with a pentagonal altar, a refectory and a narthex, above which a bell tower is placed.
Also in the village you can see the rarest example of the manor architecture of the Russian North — the house of Ivan Maximovich Popov with an intricate gazebo.

The village of Piyala. The Ascension Church (XVII century), which is 45 meters high, is the tallest preserved wooden tent church in Russia.
According to legend, the future Patriarch Nikon prayed in this temple. Next to the preserved temple there is a bell tower (XVIII century) built.
Excellent proportions, the play of facets and volumes makes the Piyalsky ensemble one of the most beautiful monuments in Russia.
Transfer to Arkhangelsk.
Arrival in Arkhangelsk after 21:00. Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 5 - Excursion "Heritage of the Kholmogorskaya land"

Kholmogorskaya land is beautiful, ancient and rich in historical past.
The tour tells about the construction, flourishing, decline and revival of Orthodox churches.
In the ancient village of Kholmogory, we will get acquainted with the architecture of the episcopal court, which includes the Transfiguration Cathedral, temples, episcopal chambers, as well as the territory of the former Assumption Convent.
The cathedral was founded in 1685 and became one of the largest in the Russian North. In 1744-1781, the premises of the bishop's house were used as the residence of the exiled family of Emperor John VI (the "Brunswick family").
Russian Russian architecture monument stands on the shore of Mikhailovsky Lake. The Holy Trinity Antonievsky Monastery, one of the most famous and significant monasteries of the Russian North, founded in 1520.
This monastery is famous for the fact that it was here that Boris Godunov exiled Feodor Nikitich Romanov (Filaret), the father of the first tsar of the Romanov dynasty.
Today the monastery is active. Life is being revived within the walls of the temple, the main buildings of the monastery are being restored and rebuilt.
In the monastery there is a walking tour "The architectural complex of the Antonievo-Siysky monastery".
Lunch at the monastery.
Return to Arkhangelsk.
The program ends after 19:00.
