Day 1 - Meeting. Departure to Kargopol
10:15 Meeting of tourists at the main entrance to the railway station of Nyandoma from the platform.
Transfer to Kargopol (78 km).
11:30 Arrival in Kargopol.
Accommodation in a guest house in rooms with amenities.
Lunch at the cafe.
Walking sightseeing tour of the most wonderful and memorable places of the city.
There is a beautiful view from any point, and at any point you will find yourself at the "crossroads" of history.
There is an embankment above the wide flood of the Onega River.
In the city center, Russian craftsmen built a tall bell tower with a triumphal arch in the first tier to welcome Empress Catherine the Great.
And if you walk under this arch, you will just come out to the cathedral of the time of Ivan the Terrible.
Excursion to the exhibition "Kargopolye since ancient times".
The exhibition presents the history of the Kargopol fortress, objects of excavations of the XVII century, including weapons, cannons, cannons, etc.
Visitors will be presented with a unique icon "Boris and Gleb against the background of the burning Kargopol fortress", painted "1700 May 1 day" in memory of the miraculous rescue of Kargopol from fire, they will tell about the siege of the Kargopol fortress by Polish-Lithuanian detachments in 1612 and the successes of the Kargopol people, where they "showed glorious victories".

Day 2 - Kenozersky National Park. Big Beef
Breakfast.
08:30 Departure to Kenozersky National Park.
The bus route is 90 kilometers.
These places are very important for understanding the peculiarities of the Russian North and getting amazing impressions.
This is a specially protected natural area that claims to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Kenozersky Park is one of the last islands of the Russian way of life, traditions, and culture.
A part of him is presented in the travel program.
The route will meet a unique natural monument dam-the watershed of the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans.
Tourists climb the Khizhgora to the church of Alexander Svirsky.
From the belfry of the temple there is a wonderful view of the vast lake system.
Then you can take a walk through the architectural park "Kenozerskie biryulki".
The monuments of wooden architecture of Kenozerye are recreated here — chapels, huts, outbuildings in miniature.
Rustic lunch in the "Handmade hut".
The route continues to the village of Bolshye Lyadiny (37 km).
There is a multi-headed Epiphany Church with an intricate semicircular porch, which is not found anywhere else.
It is pleasant to walk through the village past the old gate wells and other signs of the northern village, go to the ethnographic museum "Lyadinskoe uzorochye", where objects of peasant life and linen craft came together.
If there is a roadway and taking into account the length of daylight, it is possible to enter the former village of Krasnaya Lyaga, where the earliest tent-roofed Sreteno-Mikhailovskaya Church (1655) has been preserved on the shore of a bygone karst lake.
Return to Kargopol after 18:00.

Day 3 - The village of Oshevenskoye and Archangel

08:30 Bus and walking expedition to the "Oshevenskaya parish".
In addition to the village of Oshevenskoye, the way will be to the villages of Saunino and Pogost (50 km).
This is the second most important place in Kargopolye, where you should definitely visit.
An ancient reviving monastery, wooden architecture and traditional crafts for the Russian North coexist here at the same time.
The village of Oshevenskoye is an outstanding historical and landscape monument of the Russian North.
Residential buildings in the old layout organically coexist with chapels, churches, and the monastery complex.
But artifacts of pagan culture have also been preserved here — votive crosses, holy grove, cult worship stones — traces. And it's amazing!
In the village of Saunino, an inspection of the church of John Chrysostom (1665).
Inside, the temple is covered with a picturesque ceiling — "painted skies".
The hexagonal bell tower of the XVIII century gives the whole ensemble a complete and unique look.
Ensembles of monuments of wooden architecture are also expected in the village with the wonderful name Pogost.
In ancient times, this word meant not only a cemetery, but also a common place of nearby settlements.
Not all settlements have been preserved, but the village of Pogost has been preserved and is part of the Association of the most beautiful villages in Russia.
A rustic lunch of Kargopol cuisine.
Bread and pies from a Russian oven are a forgotten taste for someone, and an unknown taste for someone.
Simple and delicious food: rich soup and fish "according to the north", pickles and Oshevenskaya porridge.
After lunch we drive to the village of Archangel, where on the left bank of the Onega River there are two wooden churches — Archangel Michael (1715) and the Presentation of the Lord (1820).
The first one is unique in that it is completed with a cubed roof, known only in the Poonezhye and on the Prionezhsky shore of the White Sea.
The Sretensky Church has a helmet-shaped roof with a dome at the end.
The Temple of the Presentation of the Lord belongs to the type of tiered temples.
14:00 Transfer to Arkhangelsk. Travel time is 6 hours, stops are made on the way.

Day 4 - Severodvinsk and Arkhangelsk city tour

Sightseeing tour of Severodvinsk. Severodvinsk is the second largest city in the Arkhangelsk region, a hardworking city, an industrial and port giant.
Tourists will get acquainted with the history of the Russian submarine fleet during a city tour, and in the museum of local lore they will be able to "assemble a nuclear submarine."

Walking along the ecological trail to the ice-free waterfall "Holy Spring" (about 1.5 km).

Malye Korely is Russia's best open—air museum of wooden architecture and the main attraction of Arkhangelsk.
Once in Maly Korely, you will find yourself in Russia of the XVIII-XIX centuries: peasant huts, slender tent temples of Kargopol, Mezen, Pinega, Podvinya and beautiful northern pines stretching to the sky create a feeling of patriarchy and extraordinary peace.

Guest House "Kargopolskaya Sloboda" is the first two-storey cottage on the territory of the future park-hotel 12 km from Kargopol on the banks of the Onega River (built in 2021).

It offers 8 cozy rooms with an area of 14 square meters with all amenities (shower, bathroom, TV) with single beds. In one room, it is possible to organize a double bed by connecting two bonpriks beds (transformer beds). Two rooms have extra beds (Euro cots).
