Day 1 - Astrakhan city tour and Astrakhan Museum of Local Lore
11:30 Meeting of the group at the airport.
Check-out time in hotels is 14:00.
12:00-13:00 Lunch at a cafe in the city.
13:00-16:30 Sightseeing tour of Astrakhan.
You will see Lenin Square, Swan Lake, the Arc de Triomphe and the Alley of Glory of the heroes of the Astrakhan land, admire the majestic monument to Emperor Peter I, walk along Petrovsky Embankment overlooking the Volga River and see old houses on one of the oldest Astrakhan streets.
The walk will end in the Astrakhan Kremlin.
The main decoration of the city and a constant tourist attraction is a unique architectural ensemble, a monument of military engineering art of the second half of the XVI century – the Astrakhan Kremlin.
In 1947, the Astrakhan Kremlin was included in the list of architectural and historical monuments of national importance and placed under state protection.
Astrakhan Fish Market is a very colorful place where you can buy fish for every taste and just feel the atmosphere of this port city, where oriental bazaars have been bustling for centuries, and merchants were one of the main strata of the population.
16:30-18:00 Visit to the Astrakhan Museum of Local Lore.
The Nomad Gold exhibition. The collection of archaeological objects made of precious metals at the Astrakhan Museum-Reserve began to form in the second half of the 20th century.
Of particular interest are the gold ornaments of the Sarmatian leader from the famous burial site near the village of Kosika in the Enotaevsky district.
Fish Hall of the Volga-Caspian basin. The exposition of the hall is dedicated to one of the main riches of the Astrakhan region – the fish resources of the Volga-Caspian basin and their human use throughout the history of the region's development.
In the hall there is a dry aquarium with representatives of the local ichthyofauna. Rare exhibits are stuffed giant fish: beluga (6 m 16 cm), sturgeon (2 m 50 cm) and other inhabitants of the Volga-Caspian basin.

Day 2 - Blooming lotus fields. Departure to Dagestan
Breakfast at the hotel.
There are 2 departures daily — at 08:00 and 11:00 with the program time offset, respectively. You can choose a time that suits you.
The trip to the lotus fields is carried out without a guide, there is no fixed seating arrangement. Participants get to the place of departure — Heydar Aliyev Square — on their own.
The Heydar Aliyev Square is located:
from the Azimuth hotel: 930 m, 11 minutes on foot, 6 minutes by taxi;
from Kosmos Hotel: 4.5 km, 10 minutes by taxi;
from the Yantar hotel: 3 km, 30 minutes on foot, 7 minutes by taxi.

09:30/12:30 Arrival at the recreation center. Changing clothes, briefing, and getting ready to set sail.
10:00/13:00 Transfer to boats. 1.5-2 hour guided tour of the lotus fields.

Day 3 - Derbent. Naryn-kala Fortress

Visit to the Citadel of Naryn-Kala (for an additional feefor a fee starting from 600 rubles).
This tour will introduce you to the history of the construction of the Naryn-Kala stone citadel complex in Derbent in the 5th—6th centuries AD by Iranian kings from the Sassanid dynasty, the only major fortification monument in our country that has survived from the 6th century in such magnificent preservation.
You will get acquainted with the unique water supply system of the fortress and the city, with the ruins of the Khan's Palace, one of the largest architectural complexes of the citadel, built in the second half of the XVIII century (in 1768), with underground prisons, the Khan's bathhouse.
A walk through the Old Town. Juma Mosque (external inspection).
The monument complex includes the mosque itself, the fence with the eastern and northern gates, and the madrasah. It is one of the oldest mosques not only in the territory of modern Russia (probably the oldest)
Visit to the main fountain in Derbent. The fountain in Derbent is the largest multimedia fountain in Russia, which releases more than 2,000 jets of water up to 30 meters high into the sky.
It is located in the renovated Nizami Ganjavi Park between Heydar Aliyev, Pashabekov and Gagarin Streets. Since its opening, the park has become a center of attraction for locals and tourists and one of the main attractions of the city.

Day 4 - Free day. Beach holidays on the Caspian Sea

You can relax on the Caspian Sea.
Izberbash is located 65 km from Makhachkala, right on the shore of the Caspian Sea. The city is not even a hundred years old, it was founded in 1932, when oil deposits were discovered on the territory.
The resort is suitable for a family holiday: it is quiet, the beaches are spacious, and the sea water is very clean. The equipped areas of the beach have basic infrastructure for vacationers: cabins, toilets, rental of sun loungers, cafes and canteens.
For an additional fee, go on an excursion to Gunib, a mountain settlement with gorgeous viewing platforms (cost from 4,000 rubles / person). Along the way, the guide will tell you about the local culture and traditions.
You will find an observation deck at the highest point of Gunib.
Dagestan is, first of all, a mountainous region, and the views here are truly fascinating.
In the Middle Ages (since the 12th century), the famous Andalayan free society was located on the territory of the Gunib district, which had one of the most just and democratic political structures at that time, which included almost all the villages of the district. There are more than 300 historical, cultural and architectural monuments located on the territory of the district, covering the period of history from 10 thousand years BC to the 20th century.
The duration of the tour along with the road is approximately 7 hours.

Day 5 - Sulak Canyon. Departure
Room release, we take our things with us on the bus.
On this day, we are waiting for a trip to one of the most unique places — the Sulak Canyon!
Sulak Canyon is one of the most striking and fascinating natural attractions of Dagestan.
It stretches for tens of kilometers north of the Gimri range, where the Sulak River originates. Once upon a time, its waters seemed to have worn out solid rocks, separating the Gimrinsky and Salatavsky ranges from each other, and a majestic gorge formed between them.
Scientists and tourists reasonably compare it with the famous Grand Canyon of Colorado. Significantly inferior to it in length, the Sulak Canyon is slightly deeper than the Colorado Canyon and certainly no less picturesque.
On the way, we will have a stop for boating (for an additional fee starting from 3,000 rubles).
We will also walk over the suspension bridge overlooking the waterfall at the Nohyo Entertainment complex.
The caves are connected by a suspension bridge, which is equipped 60 meters above the water. There are viewing platforms on both sides of the bridge where you can take a photo as a souvenir.
