A great trip around Lake Baikal

A unique route for saturation and visiting the most picturesque places of Lake Baikal. You will travel from south to west to the island of Olkhon, and then cross the entire lake by boat to the only peninsula of Lake Svyatoy Nos. Make an ascent, and then circumnavigate the peninsula by kayak and move along the eastern side. The total length of the route is more than 1000 km!

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Group meeting. The Baikal Museum in the village of Listvyanka. Departure to the village of Slyudyanka

    Meeting at Irkutsk airport at 10 a.m. Terminal No. 3.

    Drive to the Listvyanka Village Museum (70 km) along the scenic road that runs along the Angara River.

    The museum will tell you about the uniqueness of the lake and why it is still so clean.

    Lunch in Listvyanka (Lunch time is 1 hour. We will visit the market, where people come all year round to buy fish. You can buy yourself something that you like, whether it's salted or smoked fish. We recommend you to try cold and hot smoked omul)

    Return to Irkutsk by a familiar road.

    Transfer to the village of Slyudyanka (2-3 hours) by road among the mountains and departure to the observation point.

    It offers a panoramic view of the Southern part of Lake Baikal.

    Supper. Overnight at the recreation center.

    4-5-bed rooms with outdoor facilities.

    Note: In case of delay for any reason, tourists catch up with the group on their own. We recommend that you arrive the day before the start of the tour!

  • Day 4 - Descent to the recreation center. Excursion to the Museum of minerals on request
  • Day 5 - Departure to Olkhon Island. A walk to the shore of Lake Baikal and Shamanka rock

The tour provides accommodation at camp sites in the village. Slyudyanka and Olkhon Island in Economy rooms for 3-5 people (on-site amenities), as well as overnight stays in tourist tents for 3-4 people:

  • in the village Slyudyanka (2 nights: 1st, 4th days) – recreation center, room (4-5 beds) with outdoor facilities. Double room on request (additional payment in advance);
  • tourist tents at the Hamar-Daban weather station (2 nights: 2nd, 3rd days);
  • Olkhon Island (4 nights: 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th days) – Olkhon recreation centers, Like At Home, the Coast of Hope, or recreation centers of the same category;
  • in the village Ust-Barguzin (2 nights: 9th, 10th days)  tourist tents; 
  • in Chivyrkuy Bay (4 nights: 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th days) tourist tents.

The surcharge for double occupancy on the tour is 8,000 rubles.

The surcharge for single occupancy on the tour is 15,300 rubles.

The cost of the tour includes payment for crossing Lake Baikal and transfers on day 9 (transfer + boat about 15,000 rubles/person, mandatory additional fee);

It's important to know

Personal equipment you need for the tour
