Itinerary

Day 1 - Getting to know the capital of Buryatia and visiting the Ivolginsky datsan. Meeting with Lake Baikal
Gathering of the group at the airport in Ulan-Ude.
At 9:00 am, meet with the guide at the information desk.
Boarding a minibus.
The beginning of the tour.
We recommend dressing warmly.
Be sure to bring warm shoes and clothes with you (even if the forecast is 0 degrees).
Transfer to the Ivolginsky district.
Visit to the center of Buddhism in Russia.
Tour of the Ivolginsky Datsan (1.5 hours).
Departure to the city of Ulan-Ude, a short acquaintance with the city, lunch at a cafe in the city (independently at your own expense).
Departure to Lake Baikal to Maximikha village or Ust-Barguzin village.
We spend the night at the campsite and admire the view of the Holy Nose.
In the evening, we walk on the ice and inspect the ice, hummocks.
This can only be seen from the Eastern side of Lake Baikal.
Over dinner, get acquainted and relax.

We cook dinner on our own, on duty.
Day 2 - The Holy Nose Peninsula. Bathing in hot springs on request
After breakfast we leave.
Our road goes to the Holy Nose Peninsula, which is located in the Trans-Baikal National Park.
We go out on the ice, explore interesting and picturesque places.
And they will definitely be there — these are grottoes and huge ice on the rocks.
After lunch, we will drive along the Chivyrkuy Bay and, if desired, swim in the hot springs.
Snake spring — the temperature of hot water at the outlet of the main source is 40-45 ° C, depending on the season of the year (the composition of the waters is bicarbonate—sulfate-sodium with hydrogen sulfide content).
In the evening we return to the village of Maksimikhu or Ust-Barguzin.
We have dinner and rest.
Accommodation at the campsite (facilities on the floor).

Day 3 - Transfer across Lake Baikal to Olkhon Island. Inspection of grottoes and ice on the rocks
Breakfast.
Today is one of the busiest days on the ice of Lake Baikal.
We have to move across Lake Baikal.
Attention! Equipment is used to cross Lake Baikal, depending on the state of the ice. As a rule, these can be UAZ class cars or aerosani, airboats, etc. Equipment is selected to make the move safe.
The price does not include the transfer from Maksimikha or Ust-Barguzin to Olkhon Island, it is paid additionally.
We are moving towards Olkhon Island.
Lunch in the form of a picnic on the ice of Lake Baikal.
During the journey, we will stop several times to inspect the ice, and on Olkhon we will inspect the grottoes and ice on the rocks.
We have dinner and relax.
In sunny weather, it is necessary to have sunglasses!
In the evening, we stay at an economy class campsite.
Day 4 - A trip to the village of Listvyanka
Breakfast.
We leave Olkhon for Listvyanka.
Transfer by minibus.
Let's drive through the transparent ice again.
We will cross the Olkhon Gate.
Further along the mainland we go to Irkutsk.
Travel time is at least 5 hours.
A short rest is a transfer in Irkutsk and we are already driving along the Angara River, to the place where it originates.
In the evening we arrive at Listvyanka village and stay at the campsite.
We have dinner and relax.
Day 5 - A trip across the ice of Lake Baikal to Sandy Bay
Breakfast.
A super trip to Sandy Bay with an inspection of ice and rocks.
Preparing for the trip.
Today we are going on a trip across the ice of Lake Baikal.
On this day, we will drive along the route from Listvyanka village along the famous and very picturesque Sandy Bay, past the village of Bolshoe Goloustnoe.
Boarding a hovercraft called "Hivus".
Transfer by Hivus (hovercraft) is paid additionally.
Transfer across Lake Baikal to one of the most picturesque bays on Lake Baikal.
Lunch on the ice of Lake Baikal in the form of a picnic.
Sightseeing tour of the bay, where we take the most beautiful photos of transparent ice, hummocks, etc.
Transfer to the Village of Bolshoe Goloustnoe.
Accommodation at the recreation center.
Supper.
Rest.
Day 6 - Ice skating on Lake Baikal
Breakfast.
If you want to take beautiful photos of the sunrise, you will need to get up early.
At dawn, the ice plays with unique colors, the beauty of which is fascinating.
After breakfast, we walk around Lake Baikal or put on skates and go for a ride on Lake Baikal.
You can easily walk 10-20 km on skates, while absolutely not feeling tired.
If you don't know how to ride, then you can walk perfectly well.
Beyond the cape, where we will go, you can see the bottom through the ice, it feels like there is a glass floor under your feet.
Then we will have a tour of the interesting places of the village.

Day 7 - Departure
Breakfast at the recreation center.

Departure to Irkutsk.
It takes about 2-3 hours.

Thermal underwear 1 pc.
A jacket, fleece, etc. (preferably made of modern materials).
Storm suit – jacket + trousers. Availability is mandatory. The jacket is insulated with a hood. Trousers – protection from wind and moisture. You can use a ski suit.
Socks are simple (or trekking) — 2 pairs.
Wool socks (trekking, insulated).
Shoes preferably 2 pairs (trekking boots or other warm boots with a warm insole, without high heels, boots).
Trekking poles are recommended only for hiking routes, combined at the discretion of the participants.
Warm sports hat — 2 pcs.
Personal hygiene products (toothbrush and paste, toilet paper, etc.).
Insulated gloves and winter mittens.
