Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Getting to know Irkutsk

    10:00 Gathering of the group at the Irkutsk airport.

    We suggest starting your journey by exploring the capital of Eastern Siberia – the ancient city of Irkutsk.

    During a sightseeing tour of the city, you will visit the historical center, the embankment of the Angara River, architectural monuments, take an excursion to the Znamensky Monastery with one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Siberia, famous for its iconostasis and burials on the territory (graves of the Decembrists, Grigory Shelekhov, etc.).

    After visiting the city's attractions, you can buy souvenirs from local craftsmen in a souvenir shop or look into an antique store.

    In addition, it is worth visiting one of the city's museums (for an additional fee), for example:

    • The Museum of Local Lore is one of the oldest museums in Russia,
    • Artistic – with the richest collection of works of art,
    • The House-museum of the Volkonsky Decembrists, telling about the uprising of December 14, 1825, its participants and their lives in Siberian exile.
