We invite you to continue the New Year holidays on a Christmas tour of Lake Baikal! We have developed a cozy program that offers not only the most beautiful places of wildlife, but also a visit to a unique gastro-project – the restaurant on ice “Yeti Station".

And on Christmas Eve, we will arrange a spiritual holiday in a warm circle, hold a master class on baking gingerbread, tell Baikal legends. Expeditions to the crystal kingdom will complement the full picture of impressions – we will watch the first Baikal ice, snow-white caves and ice splashes on the rocks, resembling huge frozen waterfalls.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Irkutsk – ethnopark "Golden Horde" – Small Sea
Your personal Christmas holiday begins today (9-10 am Irkutsk time)!
After meeting at Irkutsk airport, we go straight to the shore of Lake Baikal.
We will make a stop at the Golden Horde Ethnopark to explore the ethnic characteristics of the region.
Forget about boring excursions!
A bright show will be arranged for you: artists in colorful costumes, a traditional round dance “Ekhor”, fumigation with sacred herbs and a blessing for a successful trip.
The locals will tell you the legends of the nomads and take you through the yurts.
After the folklore program, we will arrange a tasting of Buryat dishes: handmade bouzes, rich soup with mutton – buchler, milk tincture – tarasun (examples of dishes are indicated in the description, we discuss the detailed menu when booking).
In the evening we will stay at a hotel on the shore of the Small Sea.
If desired, we will go down to the shore and meet the sunset at the mercy of the ice.
Dinner at the restaurant will be heartfelt and fun: we will get acquainted, listen to fascinating legends about Lake Baikal, drink hot mulled wine.
It will be a real immersion into the atmosphere of a Christmas story starring you.

Day 2 - Small Sea – Tazheran steppes – Small Sea
Today there is an opportunity to sleep, soak up in bed; freshly brewed coffee and a delicious breakfast will be waiting in the restaurant.
Go out on the balcony and breathe in the crystal-fresh air, which cleanses the mind and disposes to relaxation.
We suggest spending the day on an expedition through the Tagheran steppes, reminiscent of the panoramas of Iceland.
An off-road trip on original UAZ is waiting for you!
Conquer stone landscapes at high speeds, discover new panoramas of the lake and explore ancient rock complexes with drawings of ancient people.
A hot lunch will help to restore strength: a hot fish soup surrounded by snow-covered expanses seems incredibly delicious!
Tinctures on taiga herbs and fish snacks will pleasantly accompany the meal (the description indicates an approximate menu. The final dishes are agreed upon at the time of booking).
In the evening, there will be time to relax at the hotel, go down to the beach and walk around the surroundings.
If desired, rent skates and conquer the largest natural ice rink in this world!
At sunset, the experience is especially fascinating!

Day 3 - Small Sea – Ogoy Island – Olkhon Island - Shamanka Rock – Small Sea
We have breakfast and go to the crystal kingdom.
Hivus will be waiting for you on the shore.
On the Christmas tour, you will find the first ice of Lake Baikal – so transparent that you can see the rocky bottom of the lake through it.
The route will run along the southern shore of Olkhon.
You will see a fascinating sight: moisture, falling on rocky shores, creates icy figures, ice caves and grottoes.
Let's enjoy the luxury of glaciers, take amazing photos and see Cape Burkhan.
The bright accent of the trip is Ogoy Island, where the Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment is located.
There is a belief that Stupas dissolve negativity and promote prosperity if you perform a secret ritual: the guide will tell you about it.
We will have lunch at the concept restaurant on the ice “Yeti Station".
You will learn the space history of the project and taste Siberian dishes with a 360-degree view of the shining expanses.
They will prepare for you: olivier with hunting sausages, borscht on farm beef, white fish baked with vegetables, tea with herbs and berries (the description contains examples of dishes, we discuss the detailed menu upon approval).
In the evening we will gather in the hotel restaurant to celebrate Christmas.
We will spend a sincere evening surrounded by new friends: we will share emotions, color gingerbread, enjoy delicious dishes and drinks.
We create an atmosphere of kindness, warmth and the same magic as in childhood.

Day 4 - The Small Sea – Irkutsk
Our winter fairy tale is coming to an end.
We suggest getting up early and meeting the dawn on the shore – it's worth it!
We say goodbye to Lake Baikal and, rested, filled with emotions, we return to the city.
A warm farewell and transfer to the airport.
Recommended departure time: 20:00.

The tour provides accommodation at the recreation center.

The surcharge for single occupancy is 16,000 rubles.

The Bayar Guest House is located near the marina of the village. Sakhyurt and in the immediate vicinity of Lake Baikal. Free parking space and paid Wi-Fi are provided.

The guest house has 10 rooms, some of them have panoramic windows overlooking the picturesque landscape and a seating area. All houses are equipped with a TV, DVD player, private bathroom and a terrace or balcony where vacationers can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the morning.

The guest house has a bar where guests can enjoy delicious desserts and drinks. In addition, guests can use the barbecue facilities and prepare meals outdoors.
