An active tour to Lake Baikal. Rafting, climbing, hot springs and waterfalls

After breakfast in a comfortable hotel, we will go hiking along Lake Baikal.

Today will be held in the format of an exciting and active hike along the tourist trail, called the Great Baikal Trail (BBT).

BBT is a whole project to create ecological hiking trails and routes along the Baikal coast, which takes care of nature and animals on Lake Baikal and improves hiking destinations.

The start is in the village of Listvyanka, from where we will go on foot to the BBT.

This is a route of medium difficulty – there will be hills, descents, equipped parking places for picnics and lunch, and, of course, the incredible Baikal nature!

Our goal is the small village of Bolshye Koty, nestled in the cleavage of the ridge.

This is a secluded and picturesque area near Lake Baikal.

The distance to Big Cats is 24 km, and we will walk it at a calm pace in about 6-7 hours (including rest stops and lunch).

This part of the trail is one of the most accessible, popular, refined and at the same time very original and picturesque.

You will walk part of the way through the forest, gradually gaining altitude, and then there is a steady serpentine descent to the water.

Baikal will be on the right hand all the way, and on the left the Baikal forest or cliffs.

After we get to the Big Cats, we will set off on our way back to Listvyanka on Lake Baikal by fast boat.

This water adventure will be a pleasant end to this hike!

Back in Listvyanka, you will have free time to rest.

If desired, you can book a sauna to relax your muscles after a day of running (organized on request, not included in the price of the tour).

Today is our day of travel, relaxation and contemplation.

Today we are going to the Republic of Buryatia, to the mountains of the Eastern Sayan.

The road is very picturesque, the southern part of Lake Baikal will open up to us, we will pass a section of the international highway connecting Russia with Mongolia.

The road passes through the village of Kultuk, which is located on the southernmost shore of Lake Baikal.

And then you will drive along the Tunka valley, where the mountains of the Eastern Sayan rise on the right hand, and at the foot lies the steppe, where you can often find herds of graceful horses, cozy settlements, villages.

Our first stop will be near Arshan in the village of Zhemchug, where you can visit the local hot springs.

The pools in Zhemchuzhe are open all year round.

The unique properties of water have a beneficial effect on the body and health, so visiting hot springs is one of our guests' favorite ways to relax and recharge their bodies.

After spending time in Zhemchug, we will go to meet the amazing marals.

This place is called the "maral farm", where about 70 red deer live, which graze peacefully in the huge fenced territory of the national park overlooking the majestic mountains.

You will have the opportunity not only to see them, but also to take pictures!

After the visit, we will go to Arshan.

Arshan village is a village nestled next to the mountains, a place rich in mineral springs.

Upon arrival in Arshan and check-in, you will have time to relax and walk around the village, if desired, you can visit a Buddhist datsan or a local market with herbs and souvenirs.

Today our task is to relax as much as possible, because tomorrow we will have a very busy day!

After breakfast, we will go to the mountains.

But you will not need to carry heavy backpacks, and we will not walk part of the way – a drop-off on the most passable UAZ transport to the place of the trail will be organized for you.

Then there is a 3.5 km approach to the incredibly beautiful lake with the poetic name "Silver".

And now we are at an altitude of 1800 m.

Here we will take a deep breath, admire the very picturesque circus and the mountain "wall", have a snack and go to storm the peak.

We will need to go up about 2.5 km more.

And what views will open from the top!

For the sake of such beauty, it's definitely worth hitting the road!

Those who wish will be able to stay on the lake, contemplate the views, relax, inhaling the clean mountain air.

After returning from the summit, the road to Arshan awaits us, where we will celebrate the ascent with a festive dinner!

Today is thoughtfully nostalgic.

My muscles have already adjusted, and my head is finally clear.

We consolidate the result by walking along the valley of the Kyngarga River.

An easy and scenic trekking for 3-4 hours along a frisky mountain river awaits you.

Along the way, you will see waterfalls, enjoy beautiful views, and there is a high chance of meeting forest dwellers: birds, ground squirrels, or squirrels.

The trip will end with a Mongolian market with the purchase of wonderful and useful things and a farewell lunch at Arshan's cafe.

Today we are leaving the mountains and returning to Irkutsk late in the evening.
